This remote worked.
We ordered this remote and it did not work for the fan light. We sent it back and Amazon replaced it.This one worked. Hope it continues. Thank you Amazon for sending it before you got the previous one back.

Excellent for the value and exactly what I was looking for!
After reading all the reviews I was scared to even purchase this. But I’m glad I did. We got it working on the first try and read the directions repeatedly before each step. One thing to mention:It beeps! I don’t mind this at all. But if you turn on a light or press any button on the remote it will beep. I think some will find this helpful. And I didn’t see anyway to disable the sound but I don’t mind it.

Worse than the most awful you thought anything could be
EVERYTHING about this remote is the worst thing I've ever seen/used in my life. Shape: whoooo thought this round a$$ bulb shape was a good idea?! It wobbles and falls off anywhere you place it at all times. Buttons: WHAT!? hahahah the arrangement from top to bottom OFF, HIGH, MED, LOW, LIGHT. WHYYY!? Why are these stacked and IMMEDIATELY next to each other barely separated. The rest of the remote space was unavailable for button placement or did someone show up to work and do the absolute minimum when designing this so they could go home early. Last, my favorite, to add to the illogical and idiotic button stacking, the labels. Lol why on earth would placing the labels underneath the buttons when the buttons are placed in such close proximity, seem like a good idea?! Oh! I almost forgot! There's an extremely loud and obnoxious beeping made by any choice you select. 3 beeps for high speed, 2 for med, etc. They're loud and intrusive and there's a thousand other ways this could have been executed. My God this thing is awful. I never thought a remote control could be so bad that you'd actively notice every time you use it, but Westinghouse set a new bat with this one. Hats off to these idiots.

Good controls, ok layout
The remote itself is very good in terms of function. Only complaint is the layout of the buttons. They could sacrifice size to make the buttons a little easier to use.

It works, but has two dumb flaws.
Pretty decent, but the controller box is much larger than it needed to be, and didn't work with my Westinghouse 7214100 Harmony Two-Light 48-Inch Two-Blade Indoor Ceiling Fan, Brushed Nickel with Opal Frosted Glass - it simply doesn't fit in the dome! Seems pretty dumb, given that both products are made by Westinghouse. Also, when you turn the fan off with the remote, you need the remote to turn it on again. I had a different (much older) westinghouse remote that had a clever feature built in: When you turn the power off at the wall for 10 seconds, the next time you turn the power on, the light goes on. That seems much smarter to me, I dont' know why they didn't include that feature in this one.Wouldn't buy it again for those two reasons

A good remote
Definitely need the remote for the fan, since the chairs on the fan are super short and I have a vaulted ceiling. I was a little worried about the reviews saying how difficult it was to install or that it didn't work, but my 76-yr-old dad installed it without issues. For the simplicity of the remote, I do think it is a little pricey and more worth about $15-$20, but overall, I'm pleased with it.
