Great refried beans
If you're making refried beans, try these instead of regular pintos. They're expensive, but the taste is so much better. Didn't notice flavor so much in a soup or with ham hocks. But refried? Yes, please!!People will want to know your secret for such flavorful refried beans.

good product
Anasazi beans seem to be unavailable locally, so I ordered from Amazon. I used them in a casserole recently & they were delicious - nice flavor & a little crunchy. The beans are much cheaper on the Adobe Milling website, but the shipping would have been astronomical. So ordering them through Amazon made a lot more sense.

Yummy!
These beans are the best! Sweet and tender...short cook time...can be seasoned anyway...better than pintos..

Good beans but requires better filtration, to filter out rocks from beans
Love the beans great flavor, but they need to be more thorough in removing Little Rocks among the beans.

Anasazi beans make a wonderful soup.
I recommend these beans as a tasty, healthy alternative to the normal pinto or black beans we generally use for soups. It's nice to be eating a bit of heirloom history. I added bacon and ham for extra flavor. Next time I will include fresh corn off the cob for an additional protein bump.

I don't understand why the bean is so expensive.
I love the sweet taste of the bean, but not sure if they are worth the price.

Saved a trip to Taos
The only place I have been able to buy these beans was Smith's in Taos, NM until I found them on Amazon. I have never paid so much for a bag of beans, but it was well worth it. Christmas and New Years were happy this year, because we got Anasazi beans just in time.

Great beans for cooking
These have a little different flavor that most beans that I can a little smokie. I let the beans stand in water overnight and then add my seasonings to a 10 hour crock pot cook.
