Contigo Ashland Water Bottle, 24oz, Smoke

I'd seen these on QVC a few times, and they always looked pretty nice. But, I have quite the collection of water bottles and the last thing I needed was another one. So, I did what any normal person would do - waited a few months and impulsively bought one from Amazon one day. :)It's quite a nice bottle. I like that you don't have to leave the straw / spout exposed to office germs when you're not drinking. Just click the button to drink and pop it back down when you're done. There is a lock feature on the spout, which is nice if you were to toss the bottle in a bag and didn't want to accidentally pop it open. Although, I wouldn't totally recommend that, because I've noticed that it does seem to leak from time to time (like, if I put a flavoring in the bottle and shake it up - sometimes it spits out water). I like that the straw is nice and long, so you can get down to ALMOST the bottom of the bottle when you sip. There is usually 1/4 inch of liquid that I can't seem to get out with the straw, so I just sip it out while I have the lid off to refill.I also really like the way it comes apart to put it in the dishwasher. I've had some pretty nice water bottles and just never felt like I could get them REALLY clean. The straw screws off of the lid, so you can put the lid, straw and bottle all in the dishwasher. They seem to come nice and clean that way. If it didn't leak at all, it would be perfect. But, as-is, I really can't complain. I was thinking of buying another one to rotate on and off when this one is in the wash. I'd definitely recommend it!

I love these, as I lose them I continue to buy new ones. The pop up straw is great, but can be hard to clean inside the cap. The bottles can take falls without cracking. The lock on the cap is helpful to keep from spills and to keep younger friends from stealing sips.It’s not really insulating, and can’t really be used for warm things.I will continue to buy these.

I have about 5 of the 24 ounce Contigo water bottles. They don’t leak or spill. You press one button to open the spout so you can drink via the straw. The lock key is next to the spout button and does not leak or spill when the lid is closed. If the bottle isn’t locked it usually won’t leak, but it’s always best to lock it after you drink from it. They have great colors. They’re easy to clean. I love Contigo bottles. This color is grey but I have 3 blue ones and a yellow/green one too. Fits easily in your car cup holder. Can’t go wrong. Plus the 3 pack is a great buy.

I did not expect this quality product when I ordered it. When you order a water-bottle this cheap, you expect something cheap as well. But this product is of high quality. It feels durable - not fragile at all. It literally feels good in your hand. The flip lid is easy to use and not a hassle - didn't even know it had the feature when I ordered it; and I love the little latch - like a carabiner - it can hook onto other things - belt-loop - clip onto maybe a bike or whatever you want. I haven't had the product long enough to testify that the seal will hold, but I can tell that it won't leak for - at least a year - probably more - using it everyday. Obviously, I'm very impressed with this product which is why I have gone out my way to leave an appropriate - much deserved - review.

We haven't used these for long, but they seem like pretty good water bottles. The locking feature works well to keep the spout in the down position for preventing leaks. It hasn't been tossed in a backpack yet, per recs on the label, but I'm sure it's going to happen. Unfortunately the lock is difficult for my third grader to (dis)engage, so it might not be a good choice for younger kids. The button to pop the nozzle up is easy to use, though. My kids think the lock/button/spout combo is "fancy."It's also a lot taller than I expected. It's top rack dishwasher safe, but too tall to actually go in unless laid down. The pictures are accurate and the height isn't a design flaw or anything, but something to be aware of if you plan to put it in the machine.My only other complaint is that the straw is opaque. I haven't had any issues with gunk or mold but it's easier to keep an eye out for them developing in a clear straw. I do really like the design of the straw besides that; it's not just a regular straw that you jam in place like on a lot of bottles, but has a sort of flared top that twists and locks into place.Overall, a pretty good product.

I have two sets of these because for starters they are dishwasher safe! When cleaning them just unscrew the straw from the top part and you do not get mold in little places like many other similar bottles. They're durable! I have had my first set for about a year now with tons of use and they are still in good shape. Love the locking function for being able to toss one in mt tote bag and no worries about leaks. Easy to drink from and no weird plastic smells.
