NOTHING ELSE COMPARES!
Best root touch powder ever! This is the one to get. The Blonde formula matches my dark blonde/brown hair perfectly. It is not too light. My hair color is #7, if that helps. I use a dry makeup sponge rather than the included brush. Color goes down better. Does not come off on the pillow case. It even makes my thin hair look fuller as it gives body to the roots. Great value, better than those tiny round pots of root powder that you see advertised.

Best Hair Product to Hide Gray and Thinning Hair.
This powder works great. Easy to apply exactly where it is needed and it stays in place. I highly recommend this product!

Great Product!
I have tried different products to cover gray roots between salon visits. This Joan Rivers product was advertised in a clothing catalog. I did some research and ordered from this site the "blonde" as reccomended by several reviews and YT presentations. One presenter said blonde is what 80% of people will use. The pressed powder in the pan is dark brown, however when it is tapped in with the brush it covers the root line at the part, thinning temples and crown. This blends in I have blonde highlights, medium to light brown hair and "wicked" white roots according to my stylist. Start farther back and move towards the front of the face. Short, quick taps worked best for me. It is buildable. I worked out and slept with the product in. No transfer or icky brown sweat. Washed out fully. The bristle brush does shed but I decided not to let that bother me. If you want a better brush there are expensive cosmetic ones, the art section at craft stores may have better price point. There are also angled retractable brushes for foundation. I have an extra one. I may try that with the bristles barely out of the tube. Some reviews had trouble opening the case. There is a verticle line on the cover press it down and the compact swings open. Regarding the smell. It is very light, not unpleasant or noticable after a few minutes post application. I will update as needed and ost photos when I have time.

Great coverage!
Always a wonderful full coverage product. I can’t say it’s helped my hair growth but maybe has stoped fallout. I just would like to see this product reduce the cost of this. There are other products that cost less that are just as good. Bottom line. This is a great product I have bought and used for over 7 years now for my patchy thinning and aging 74 yr.old hair. All smiles about it. 😊

Good product
I think it works well and easy to apply. Opening the box for the first time it’s like working on a puzzle.

A little goes a long way
I'm not a vain person, I don't typically wear make-up and my hair care routine exists of using my car's heater to blow dry my hair on the drive to work in the morning. That said, I do admit that I've always felt self-conscious about how thin my hair started getting, starting in my early 20s. My hair is baby fine and thinning on the back of my crown, and also along a kind of widow's peak cowlick in the front. I'm very white/pink and my scalp is very BRIGHT and makes everything look even worse than it really is. I've considered getting a wig or hair pieces, but I have very sensitive skin and my scalp gets too itchy. If I go one day without washing my hair, I start to look like I'm going bald. It's pretty sad.Anyway, I've tried using light brown matte eye shadow to hide the bald cowlick in the front, but you could always see the powder on my scalp and I was nervous that people could tell what I'd done. I was kind of worried that it would be the same with this this powder, but miraculously, that was not the case. After my hair dries, I take about a minute in the bathroom (using the little mirror on the compact that came with the powder) to lightly brush the thinning areas at the roots, including very lightly along my entire part. I don't overdo it, just a touch, but I'm amazed at the results. It's incredibly natural looking, I have brown hair and ordered the blond formula after reading reviews and it was the perfect shade. Now to address two criticism I read about in other reviews that I was worried about:1. That it has an unpleasant fragrance. OK, this is kind of true...but it is a very faint fragrance, and I have an incredibly sensitive sense of smell. I'm always smelling things that other people can't, and I was worried that the scent would be flowery and overpowering, but it is not. Particularly if you use the powder sparingly. My husband was hugging me with his nose right up to my hair and he didn't notice anything, and his smell is even more sensitive than mine, in fact, I can't wear certain lotions etc. because he's so sensitive to the smell.-2.That it changes the texture of your hair and makes it feel dirty. Again, I have VERY fine hair that gets super oily after one day without washing it, so I was really worried about this. But, when I run my fingers through my hair, I feel nothing. Maybe if you were covering a very large area, it would change the feel, but not if you're just covering small patches. So, overall, I love this stuff and will be using this product daily from now on. I feel like it has really made me look like I have more hair, even though it isn't one of those texture hair fiber products. It doesn't come off on or stain your fingers, or show up on your pillow...it's really amazing. So, while it is a bit spendy, I think you should go for it if you are on the fence about whether or not to order this. I almost skipped it, and I'm so glad that I didn't!UPDATE: August 3rd, 2016. Still using the little compact, almost daily. This stuff lasts a long time if you're only using it for covering patches. I decided to upload a before and after photo to show how much it helps.

The best thing for hiding bald spots
This is the absolutely best thing I have found yet to cover my bald spots. People compliment me on my hair and when I tell them I am almost bald, they don't believe me until I rub my finger in my hair and show them there is a powder making shadows on my scalp so you don't see how thin my hair actually is.

It actually works!
It really works! Easy to apply and stays put. I have thinning hair, and after I style I just apply it along the exposed shin on the part,,then whisk it to both sides of the part into the hair. A little goes a long way. Just as well as it's not cheap.
