Ameristep Dove and Duck Hayhouse Blind (Camo)

Bought one last year (2012) and used it a bunch. Great product, easy to set up and put away. Super portable. The included backpack is thin enough to wear a decoy bag over it. The floor keeps your gear dry. Squeezed 3 and a dog in it but 2 and a dog is much more comfortable. Zippered slots at floor level for jerk lines are also included.

Random thoughts on this product: Easy to set up, but took a while to figure out how to fold again. Needs better instructions on that. Does not shelter from rain (unless rain very minimal). Light weight and compact. More than enough room for two. You need chairs inside to be comfortable.Overall satisfied with purchase.

Ameristep haybale blind showed up started to put it together first thing I noticed one of the color coded pockets is the wrong color then I looked at the other side and the pocket was sewn in backwards never again will I buy anything else from ameristep until they take care of the quality control issues I have a couple treestands from ameristep that are not going to be used either with quality control issues like this I don't want to be 15 feet off the ground on something of there's until they can fix there problems

This is a cool blind with lots of room. Supper easy to setup via color codes. Take down is also a breeze with a little pratice. Only complaint item with missing parts on end of fiber poles. Could be a little lower in price. Camo material is pretty cheap looking.

I've had several of these over the years and they are the best blinds for the money. I use them to hunt the marshes on the eastern shore of VA and Maryland. They are easily one-man portable, stand up well under the wind, have a very study floor and blend into the evironment well. Thy only real issue is getting the blind back into it's storage bag, which requres contortions that no human does naturally. Once you get that down, it's easy to use.

I put this blind up in about 3 minutesI like the mesh camo opening on top as it alows you to see the Birds flying above you unlike the more expensive haybale blinds.I already had my lab in and out for training and there is plenty of room for him, my son, and myself without feeling squashed..

This blind is much better quality than I expected. Its a cinch to set up, just like a tent, and folding the hoops back in the pack the first time only takes 15 minutes and several tries to figure it out. Watching the YouTube video first is a good idea. Once you have it down, it's easy as pie. The blind also has a zippered slit in the right front corner to accomodate a jerk string, which is a nice touch. I've needed one of these for years and I'm glad I finally found what I was looking for. Great product and service, thanks Ameristep and Amazon!

Pretty decent product, has some definite possibilities. Biggest drawback is the flap that is thrown. Way too flimsly and the wind could blow it right back in your face.
