CRKT KNIFE REVIEW
This is the perfect EDC tactical knife. Double lock to prevent accidental closure. Double hilt to prevent hands slipping o to the blade while in use. Tanto point will easily go through a metal a.mo can. Blade holds a razor sharp edge. Quality overall is top notch. Price is very reasonable. I strongly endorse all CRKT knives and have e several other models

Sweet Sweet Knife
I was spending a ton of time doing research on the knife that I wanted. Everyone has their tastes and preferences including me so it was a bit much looking for just the right one with the right feel out of the millions of knives out there. I was looking for a sharp, sturdy knife. One that will take a beating and will not fall apart. I was actually considering the cold steel recon and then somebody referred me to CRKT and man I was glad they did. The the price this knife was it. Out of the box, it had a really nice feel. The grip feels good, and the blade is just amazing. I am aware that the veff serrations tend to dull out or the tips bend after certain usage. I've been using mine for 2 months now on various things ranging from cardboard, ropes to wood and plastic and everything in between and this knife still chews through it all. I bought a sharpener with it to keep it stupid sharp and I know that this thing will last me a very very long time.Pros.-Grip feels just right, mind that this knife is slightly bigger than your average pocket knife, but I have big hands so it works out perfectly.-After broken in, for a non-spring assisted knife this one has sssuuuccchh a crisp sound when flipped open.-Looks like a fixed blade when opened, and also helps prevent hands from slipping onto blade when in use.-Looks great-Incredibly sturdy. Asides from regular use, I've thrown, dropped, tossed, bent this thing and it still opens the same, no wiggling anywhere whatsoever. The entire knife still completely intact with nothing loose. I took a friends CRKT, non serrated, I stuck both of these into a tree staggered and we climbed up the tree using those knives. we put our entire weight on those, hung from them and still afterwards, functioned like it just came out of the box (I am 5'11" and weigh in at 180lbs). Minus the paint obviously gone in some places from wear and tear.I love this knife and would recommend it to anyone!

Durability, Reliability, Question
I’ve owned the CRKT EDC Folding Pocket Knife for years, and it has consistently exceeded my expectations. This knife is built for durability and functionality, and it shows in every aspect of its design and performance. The black serrated tanto blade is incredibly sharp and versatile, making it ideal for a wide range of tasks, from daily utility to more demanding work. The blade has held its edge remarkably well over time, it does require sharpening even after years of regular use which is a given. The automated liner safety adds an extra layer of security, giving me peace of mind when carrying or using it.The G10 handle is both tough and comfortable to grip, even in challenging conditions. I also appreciate the dual hilt design, which offers excellent control and prevents my hand from slipping. The 4-position pocket clip is another thoughtful feature, allowing me to carry it exactly how I prefer. This knife has been part of my daily carry for years, and it still functions flawlessly. The build quality is outstanding especially for the price and it’s clear that CRKT designed this knife to last. Whether you’re looking for a reliable EDC tool or a knife for more specialized tasks, the M16-14SFG is an excellent choice. Highly recommended for anyone seeking durability, performance, and overall great quality!

Most trusted name in blade work.
This is a really great knife. The blade temperance is high-quality and the blade edge is extremely sharp. I’ve had only one other knife and it was also a CRKT.

Good knife with compromises.
This is my "favorite" EDC knife, but I need to put "favorite" in quotes because really I mostly like the design. It's large, strong, safe. Physically impossible to accidentally close on your fingers. Easy to flick open one-handed.However, the edge grind from the factory and the steel is very non-ideal. The edge was very uneven. I know these are supposed to be an asymmetrical half-chisel grind, but even with that in mind, the edges were wobbly and uneven, and one edge was actually at 25-30 degrees with a taper towards the end which is barely an edge at all.I did set a new edge and sharpen it myself after I saw the state of things. It took about 2 hours and at the end... Well it's decently sharp. It's better than "$5 Walmart mystery knife sharp" which is basically how it arrived. I consider it a decent edge now. However the steel is also just not the easiest to sharpen or the most durable. It's just not a great knife at actually getting sharp or staying sharp.Again, the knife *will* cut stuff with the factory edge. It's not unusable. Just nowhere near how other $75 factory knives will cut.The real perk here is the design. I trust this knife to carry more than others because the lock-up is very unique and strong, impossible to close on your fingers even under a very strong impact. And the cross guard prevents your fingers from slipping, and it's really a smooth and easy knife to deploy rapidly for such a large knife (after you break it in for a few days). With this knife you merely tolerate the steel, and enjoy the operation and heft.If you want something similar but with better steel, the regular serrated versions all use Aus8 or 12c27 steel which is much better and generally arrives with a better grind as well. The Veff serration versions are all 1.4116 steel, which I have found to be rather inconsistent, wherever they get it from or machine it. Unfortunately most of the Aus8 or 12c27 versions either lack a large cross guard or have inferior handle materials (ie, nylon instead of g10). So it's preference which you'd rather have; the better steel or the better handle.
