Great mill for the price!
My search for a great manual grinder came to a close when I unboxed the Wondermill Jr. In my opinion, this is definitely one of the best grinders on the market. Something like the Country Living mill would no doubt be of higher quality and perform a bit better, but it also runs at over double the price. There are a number of cheaper alternatives on the market, but nearly all of them use plastic parts or don't seem very well made. The Wondermill Jr. is built extremely well, and I was highly impressed with the overall quality of the unit. The entire thing is metal, and is solid in construction with a durable finish. The dual clamp securely fastened the grinder to one of my kitchen countertops and the unit remained rock solid while I worked. The different burrs attach easily and can be interchanged within seconds. The unit includes a set of stone burrs intended for grinding grains, and a set of steel burrs that will grind everything the stone burrs do as well as nuts, sprouts, beans, ect, though at a 10-20% coarser grind. Adjusting the stones is easy, and allows you to grind at a variety of consistencies. The stone burrs look to last quite a long time, though I do plan on buying a spare set.One of the reviews and a couple of comments talked of some excessively long mill times for something like a single cup of flour. After using the mill myself last night, I have to assume that the reviewer was either exaggerating, or using the product incorrectly. Grinding a cup of hard red wheat into fine flour took me under 5 minutes on my first attempt, and that included time spent learning how to adjust the tension for a coarser or finer grind. I got some flecks of stone in the first cup or so through (which the manual clearly warns you of in advance), and nothing after that. All in all, this mill is very well made by a respectable company, performs quite well, and is a great deal for the price. I'm very pleased with the purchase, and will be using it for a long time to come.

A really good grinder!
It seems hard to find a grain mill for less than four or five hundred dollars. This little mill was 200 and it works quite well. I am extremely pleased with its performance. The mount system is sturdy and secure, and the overall unit is simple and well built. Takes a little time to figure out how to set the grinding stones, but once you get there, it grinds like a champ. Its also a great upper body work out! I use it mostly to grind wheat to make whole wheat flour for baking. Grinds quite fine, makes good flour.Update July 2018. Still going strong, stone grinding disks seem to hold up well. I use this two or three times each week to grind wheat to make cream of wheat and to make bread/biscuits. No problems so far!!

What All the Other 5-Star Reviews Say
I am new to growing and grinding my own wheat, but this baby is a winner! Easy to assemble, simple mechanism for adjusting the grind fineness and beautiful to behold. I have other small electric gadgets that could do the task for my 2-person household, but it literally feels good to get the workout and know that I can grind grains and nuts by hand when the grid is down, which is a real thing where we live. The WonderMill comes beautifully and safely packaged, with easy to follow instructions. Getting both the stone milling heads and steel burrs in one box, all-inclusive in the price, is a bonus and better than I could find with any other hand mill. It fits in my kitchen on a small counter next to the stove, takes up very little space and makes me happy when I look at it. It is extremely sturdy and will surely outlive 2 or 3 generations. If anyone is on the fence, I would highly recommend.

No Bells or Whistles, Good Machine, But...
Okay, I used my Wonder Mill Jr. I will give you my opinon. I did enjoy it. It does make fine flour and here is the BUT. BUT, you need a very stationary place, where you will be working at. I knew what I was getting into when I bought a manual grain mill. You will be doing exercise., which I did not mind. For one thing, if there is no electric you cannot use a electric grain mill machine. When I tried to coarsely grind popcorn, the platform was anchored done to my granite countertop, it kept slipping so I used a a piece of wood to Jimmy it and also rubber cloth, that did help it hold. But I still kept having to fix the grind mill to stay put. I had to use my kitchaid grain mill to crack the corn easily and then use the Wonder Mill Jr. When I milled the corn, the Wonder Mill Jr did not move and it did do the job. It moved too often when the corn was whole and I 1st started grinding and I am a rough handler on things, I am using. So, my counter top became part of the issue. This machine cost less than my island counter, so it was a no go go for me. I will say if I did keep the mill I would have, have still used my kitchen aid mill to start the mill process and then use the Wonder Jr Plus, also I would have to grind a lot of flour once a week and store the flours in my freezer to save time. But, all in all, a well made machine but needs to have a permanent place to mill flour or you risk messing up your countertop or table, especially if it is not wood. But all in all, the Mill does what it was attended for. No bells or whistle. You get a great workout and it does make fine flour. There are 2 other grain mills that is the same price as the Wonder JIr. PLUS. They are called inpacted mills. They use steel blades not stone burrs. There is the Original Wonder Mill and the Nutrimill. I think I will go for the Nutrimill because it an all one model and it has a life time warranty, if Ido not sell it. I think WonderMill does roo. But steel grain mills are loud, but fast and makes excellent flour. You can grind to your heart content. And freeze extra flour when needed. What I will say. It is a great machine especially if you are a health conscience prepper.
