Delicious... was clearly well-made and fresh. It has gotten dry and stale since i received it (at no fault of the manufacturer... if this didn't get stale over time I would be scared). This is an item that I can see could be bad if inventoried for a long time or if the packaging is damaged. However, I ordered it around xmas time and it was perfectly fresh.

I love marizpan! I know they are best when soft. I let my first one sit for a month, by accident. I loved them a little harder and they still tasted great. Then I ordered another and they were very soft. I ate them too quickly. I love them either way... LOL

I bought this for my spouse for a significant anniversary, another for my son for a really big birthday, and a third for a friend who just had surgery. The four of us are marzipan addicts. We could probably inhale it!These giant boxes were a HUGE disappointment. It was overly sweet and extremely stale. And when we opened ours, all the candy had fallen out of its holders and looked bad. (This last thing sounds really picky, but for presents of course you want things looking as nice as possible. This doesn’t seem to be an inherent problem for mail ordered marzipan. We’ve ordered a different brand on Amazon for years, and that’s never happened—always looks great.)Right now there are two companies selling marzipan that looks just like this on Amazon. We’ve been ordering and eating just that brand’s marzipan for years. I only tried this brand because I wasn’t too nuts (sic) about some other things I’d ordered from them, but bad idea switching on this. Especially because you can’t get a credit or money refunded for food products. So that was an expensive mistake!I recommend comparison shopping for all marzipan lovers. 😀

Excellent marzipan, fresh taste, no marzipan was stale in any way.

The packaging and presentation leaves a lot to be desired. I buy this product for myself but it would not be suitable for a gift. It arrived with all the candies tosseled in the packing (at least they weren't all squished like the last time I ordered them). The candies used to be well shaped and pretty to look at but this in package, it was sometimes hard to decide what fruit they represented. Based on taste alone, I'd give this product a 5 but the other considerations bring my rating down.

I repeat, DO NOT BUY THIS! It is hard to tell from the photos for the product on Amazon, but the packaging of this item is flexible plastic wrap, and the cardboard box flexes, too. As you can see from the photos, mine arrived in terrible condition. There was a tear in the plastic wrap in the corner, and there were a couple of smaller holes in the plastic wrap elsewhere. It seems these holes must have been there for a while, because the candies (which, as you can see, are all over the place) are hard as rocks. If they weren't inedible because of the tear in the packaging (who knows what might have come in contact with them?), they certainly would be because of being dental hazards. So, just return it or exchange it, right? NOPE. THIS ITEM IS NOT RETURNABLE OR EXCHANGEABLE! I couldn't believe it. I reached out to Amazon customer service, and they issued a refund, but WHEW. I guess I need to get in the habit of making sure all items I buy are returnable/replaceable.
