Brooks Men's Revel 3

These shoes run quite a bit smaller than the original Brooks Revel. You would need to order a full size larger in this version.

I am comparing the Revel 3 (this purchase) to the Revel 1 here as the 2 was not in the same league with the 1, and was really, really hoping the 3 would be. Based on reviews from others and from run shops I felt confident the 3 was going to be the go-to shoe in the last few weeks before a half.First foot-in shoe, series 1. Felt amazing! Plenty of room for ball-of-foot, toe splay, comfortable right out of box.First foot-in shoe, series 3. Tight in ball-of-foot, big toes rubbing on the upper. Ugg.Wore the 3's for 90 mins around the house and not much better in terms of upper loosening some or general comfort in the toe box.In the morning I have a 4 mi tempo piece planned, so will at least try and do this on the 'mill with the 3's to keep them clean in case I need to return. Gonna see how that goes and will have the 1's or my Hoka Cavu's on standby.Upside: they are lighter than the 1's. Shoe lines are smooth and soft. Good looking shoes.I'd order more 1's if I could find them in my size. Have about 100 or so miles left on my third pair as I absolutely love these shoes.I'll give these 3's about a week; will update and decide if returning or keeping. I sure hope they loosen up as I like the look and lightness of these shoes. Time will tell.UPDATE: 1 week in with 18 miles on these shoes.Have the first black toenail in over 7 years. I go back to the toe box being more restrictive than the Revel 1. The way the toe box tapers is more abrupt in these 3's than in the 1. Plus, the glue/edging between mesh and harder surface to protect the toe from incidental external contact hits right on the top of toe tips after a few miles in as feet swell. I still have about a thumb width between the toes and front of shoe, too.The shoe overall has loosened up and feels fine underfoot. Without a doubt the most cushiony running shoe I have ever worn, and this is a 1 on Brooks scale for comfort.This cush ride does affect the return bounce to a degree. I was still able to kick up the last half-mile of a 6 mi run to a 6:20 pace and the shoe responded so it works for both a steady training run and a little fast work (truth be told, NB Vazee while harsh on the comfort scale provides much, much faster splits in speedwork though for a comfort shoe the Rev 3 did okay).The laces stay well-tied. The upper has some good stretch and breathes well.Staying with 3 stars. With a 13.1 just two+ weeks out I may resort to either my Cavu's or my last pair of Revel 1's for the event.For recovery runs I think the Revel 3 will be good to absorb the pavement for a few miles.

I have the Revel 2 and it is a great fitting shoe, so I purchased the Revel 3 in black/white.It’s a good looking shoe.Brooks shoes are great. I have several pairs. They are high quality, fit well, comfortable and offer great support.The shipping from Amazon was fast and free.

This is my 3rd pair of Brooks. I had the Brooks Revel 1 and the Adrenaline over the past several years. I don't feel these are of the same quality construction, but for $55 you can't go too far wrong. I use them strictly for daily walkabouts and general use. Comfortable, lightweight and not bad looking.As an Amazon Prime member I had the option of delivery the day following my order or to wait until my Amazon Day. I opted for my Amazon Day as I didn't need the shoes immediately. They were (again) late by one day. This occurs with some frequency when I use my Amazon Day. I am losing confidence in Amazon's ability to deliver as promised. Please don't promise a delivery date and then change it at a late time.

Very comfortable and light running shoe for my taste. Brooks have always been my favorite shoes.The fit is as expected.

I got these because I'd been having foot pain trying to use New Balance shoes to exercise in. While NB seems to be good for support for some walking, it's not so great for power walking or running.And they seem to be working very well. I'm not getting that pain anymore even in the first couple days. They're springy. The only thing I don't like is the very limited and kinda ugly color selection.

Very good shoe. I will use for training runs. The issue is that after 5 miles my left foot gets hot. Has not happened before or in any of my other current shoes. Weird.Updated... things are bad and getting worse. I really do not like giving a bad review. This shoe is getting worse. Now after about 5 miles, my toes go numb. I also noticed the shoes are getting very wobbly. These shoes look good. I will use them for just walking around. They will not be run in again. I have never had an issue with any other shoe like I have with these.

These were my 3rd pair of REVELS. They were just as I expected. I run in either Brooks Revel or Ghost. These are a little less cushion than a Ghost and they seem to wear down just a little bit sooner, but the price is right, and the shoe is good for runs up to 10 miles.

Despite being comfortable and fitting well these shoes ruined my legs.I had a pair of Revel 2 previously, bought the Revel 3 thinking they were an upgrade. I ended up with shin-splints, itb issues and now really sore knees.Get yourself to a running specialist shop and get yourself measured/gait analysed properly.

Perfect shoes for runners both on the treadmill and on the pavement. Comfortable straight away, no need to break them in. Lightweight and stylish

Von diesem Brooks Laufschuh bin ich sehr enttäuscht. Ich habe ihn schon eine Nummer größer bestellt und der Schuh ist bei mir um den vorderen Bereich um die Zehen viel zu eng. Mit so einem unbequemen Laufschuh ist für mich Sport zu machen nicht möglich.Ich habe auch andere Modelle (teurer) von Brooks, Da habe ich mit der Passform keine Probleme.

Ho sostituito le vecchie Revel 2, sinceramente erano molto più rigide, queste sono fin troppo ammortizzate...
