π΄ββοΈ Ride Smart, Stay Safe!
The VeloChampion Bike Computer Handlebar Mount is designed for Garmin Edge cycling computers (excluding Edge 1000), providing a secure and stylish solution for optimal visibility and safety during rides. It includes spacers for compatibility with both standard and oversize handlebars and is easy to install with a 3mm hex key.

similar to SRAM Garmin mount, but there are some differences
I used the SRAM Garmin mount on my road bike, mostly because that was the cheapest I could fine at that time (it has served me fine for 1 year). I wanted to get another mount for my mountain bike. This one looks similar to SRAM and is cheaper, so I gave it a try. Both mounts are about the same length, but there are a few noticeable differences. First, the VeloChampion mount comes with rubber shims so you can easily mount it on skinnier handlebars (the SRAM only supports 31.8mm unless you get shims separately). Second, the VeloChampion uses a common 3mm hex wrench to tighten, instead of the Torx used by SRAM. Third, the SRAM mount is a single piece of plastic, while the VeloChampion it two pieces with a hinge on the handlebar clamp. The hinge makes the VeloChampion easier to install, but I am guessing that the SRAM will be stronger and more durable in the long run. The SRAM mount is also a little sleeker looking, though you don't notice when your Garmin is mounted.

A Better Computer Mount Design at Less than Half the Price
This design is significantly better design than Garmin's own forward mount (which sells for about $34). I paid $14 for the VeloChampion Mount and bought 2, one for my road bike and one for my mountain bike. I installed it last night on my mountain bike and was really impressed.1. The design of VeloChampion's mount fit on the narrowest part of my handle bars without the two gaskets that came with it. The mounting screw is larger and much easier to insert and adjust, and the design provides a better angle than the Garmin bracket.2. The price point is excellent.3. I have several Garmin devices and multiple bikes so but at Garmin's $34 price I was reluctant to purchase spares.4. These mounts are out in front of your handle bars and a spill can snap them off (that happened to me last weekend) leaving my Garmin Edge 510 dangling from it's safety lanyard. I had no spare to replace it, so I tried using the 510 by inserting it between two zippers on my handle-bar mounted gear bag, just enough to expose the antenna end toward the sky, but I couldn't secure it, and during the ride, the 510 was lost. Now I have a spare.I highly recommend this mount.

Not great
I've taken this for a ride and it works - the Garmin didn't fall off. The clamp has two soft pads on the inside (in addition to the supplied shims) and I had to tear one off, as it wouldn't fit my garden-variety Bontrager bar.The Garmin ends up sitting above the bar; I would prefer it to be lower - right in front of the stem faceplate. In addition to the (negligible) aero gain, that's what the pro setup looks like.As you can see in a picture from another review, there's about half an inch of space on the bars between the stem and the mount. Why is that? I'd prefer less plastic and a bit more handlebar space. Finally, it seems that my Garmin ends up ever so slightly tilted counterclockwise.Overall, not sure it was worth getting this as opposed to sticking with the little base the Garmin had come with (which attaches to the bars or stem with rubber bands). Perhaps the mere fact that it's further out reduces the time that your eyes are off the road, but I haven't felt much difference.UPDATE 8/7/16: I got a BarFly 2.0 instead and couldn't be happier. It looks better and it works better. The bolt faces up so when adjusting or taking off for travel there's no need to fumble around the brake and shifter cables with a hex key; it sits flush with the stem in both directions.

Not as good as genuine Garmin mount
I have the real Garmin mount that came with my 520 but wanted one on my second bike. The Garmin one is pretty pricey so I decided to get this one instead. My observations:-installation is not as easy as the Garmin one. Placement of the tightening bolt is awkward compared to Garmin's. Making it tight had no definite "stop" as the plastic has a lot more give.-Not as strong as the Garmin one. The Garmin one seems to ha e higher density plastic and stronger form factor. If I push on it it doesn't even bend. This one bends a fair amount.-Mounting my 520 doesn't seem as "clicky". The design of the actual quarter-turn mount seems to be a bit simpler design with not as much "spring" in it. I don't think the unit will fall out, but I wonder if it will get less right over time and that becomes a possibility.Overall, I'm not too unhappy with this mount. My second bike is used mostly on a trainer so it doesn't see the GPS much. The price difference was substantial enough that it seems like a reasonable trade off. If I had to buy it again I maybe would pay a little more for the higher quality one though.

On a particular ride I looked down and it was dangling loose (I'm glad the computer didn't pop out)
A simple mount that works well as long as the bolt holding it doesn't vibrate loose. I was careful check this regularly because I'd noticed it being loose from time-to-time. That was my only problem with it. On a particular ride I looked down and it was dangling loose (I'm glad the computer didn't pop out). I thought "well and easy tightening should fix that". Trouble is the nut vibrated out completely and was lost. I've tried to contact the seller but it's been more than a month. If anyone knows how to contact the seller or manufacturer let me know. I'm happy to purchase another nut but I assume I might be looking in the hardware store. I have an SRAM Garmin mount that has not had this problem - admittedly it is more expensive. Maybe there's a good reason for that.If I can source another nut for it I'll put some locktite on next time.

Works great and looks great too!
Love it and I love the price. I couldn't see paying $40 for the Garmin version of this. I have been using the stock Garmin mount with the rubber bands that came with the Edge 500, but the bands break from time to time and I was worried that it would only be a matter of time before both bands broke and I lost my Garmin or broke it. I also love how this puts my Garmin out in front of my bars. I don't have to look down as far to see it. I have ridden about 500 miles so far using this mount and I have not had to re-tighten it, and I have not had any problems with it. Great product for the price!

Quality cycling product
I picked up this product for my road bike so I could attach light and Garmin. Itβs only been a couple of rides but light clips in with solid feel and stayed in place on rides and over broken roads. Good price, great delivery and product meets all my requirements. I may try on my mountain bike to see how it holds up.

Does The Business, And Much Cheaper Too.
Just to echo most of the previous comments: the mount fits well and hold my Garmin properly. Quality is excellent. This keeps your Garmin off the handlebars or stem and so frees up space for other things (eg lights), or simply just de-clutters (and so looks good). At the time of this review, this was the cheapest version, and it works out at just over a third of the price, with free delivery too.So well worth it. Highly recommended.

Works perfectly with my Garmin Edge 810
Great value for price.I picked up two of them for my bikes and they fit and work perfectly with my Garmin Edge 810.Only problem is that I over torqued one while mounting to my MTB and it snapped at the clamp. But no worries, I'll buy another and be more careful. Just wish they would spec a max torque to avoid damage.

This is essential equipment for Garmin Users
I have had this item on my road bikes for a while now. Very sturdy and robust. Fits well. Good value for money. The main point is safety is much much better because one can glance down to view the screen rather than drop your head further to view the screen (taking your eyes off the road that much further) when it is attached to your bars. If you have a Garmin then get one of these - it is a must buy for the sake of a few quid and much improved safety.
