No more pencil hunting
If you're anything like me, you can never find your pencil. I'm a serial DIYer, but spend most of my time pencil hunting. I swear I put it behind my ear...That was until I got my Tracer pencil. Gone are the days of vanishing pencils. It now sits proudly in one of the screwdriver loops of my work trousers. Simple to grab whenever I need it, and easy to remember to return it to it's holster.Apart from now knowing exactly where it is at all times, this is also a great pencil. It doesn't blunt too quickly, and is easy to quickly sharpen with the built in sharpener on the holster. It's not the cheapest, but I'd say you definitely get what you pay for. It's a well thought out design, and good quality.Just a word of warning, if you're using it to mark a deep hole, you need to be extra careful. The lead will be fully extracted, and although it's probably stronger than the average pencil lead, it is still brittle, and will snap with any lateral pressure.Overall, though, this is one of my favourite additions to my toolkit. It's simple and unsexy, but has saved me so much time now I don't have to play hide and seek with my pencil.

Simple yet effective
What a brilliant little marker and the holder allows you to clip it into you pocket so you are no longer wondering where you left your pencil, great idea 👍

Great bit of kit to have in your tool box
Great bit of kit to have in your tool box, I've bought three Of these now the first I have mislays Put out the safe keeping and forgot where I put it. These were on offer so I bought two to have in various tool boxes, if your anything like me I am forever sharpening my pencil when doing woodwork as I quite often break the tip. These pencils are great. The lead is thick enough not to break on you. And if it does, you have a built in sharpener to get a great point back again, Highly recommended..

Good product well known and good price
Good price compared to Screwfix and tool station. Good product as well, known good reputation within the trade, as a deep hole pencil. Use for any trade. Obviously if you over extend the pencil it will snap the lead

Does exactly what it says.
Just used this again today a few times - use it regularly - and realised I had not yet sent a review. It does what it says, and works well and is SO much easier than having to sharpen a carpenter's pencil as well as having the clip so you do not lose it. Not the cheapest, but it does the job well. Make sure you have it handy in your workshop. Recommended.

Great pencil which is easy to use with a handy holster
I love this pencil and I wish that I had discovered this sooner, in all honesty I found this by accident and only purchased to bring the order over £20 for the free delivery!I love that this has a holster for the pencil which I clipped inside my pocket, I have been building fencing for the past fews days and with this my pencil has been easily to hand all the time, I also like that there is an integrated sharpener so no longer do I need to find a knife to sharpen the pencil. The pencil is easy to use with gloves as well which is an added bonus.I love the fact that this was long enough to reach through the fence posts and mark the wall.I cannot recommend these highly enough.

The original
So since this one is the original deal the quality is pretty top notch.I'm a site carpenter and without coming over all fan boy this really had worked its way into my favours over the old knife sharpened pencils. For average use the 2B Lead marks on pretty much anything and there is an abundance of 3rd party spare leads so not had to buy the official refills. The big UP with the Tracer over 3rd party models is the little holster that it comes with, this sits nicely in your pocket and means when you return it your not fiddling around but have a nice open aperture to put it in and that keeps its space in your pocket available. Also seems to be lest wasteful, when I got down to the last 5-6cm of a traditional pencil I'd normally just chuck it so over all it might just be a very small difference but over time it all adds up right? Some people have mentioned the poor durability of the sharpener but so far mine has help together and for the majority of my work the 2.8mm unsharpened lead is just fine (in fact I only tend to sharpen it before doing the Metro crossword). Also when you pull it out you do feel like you've just drawn a covert wand and the temptation to say "expelliarmus" is pretty damn strong.

Joinery pencil
Very handy propelling pencil with case , which helps with not losing pencil, and sharpening attachment , handy to extend the lead to mark through key holes etc , as a tradesman I highly recommend this product 👍
