Well made
Great cord

This cord keeps my glasses in place even when I am active.
I was skeptical when I purchased this item but I was tired of my glasses sliding down my nose. I had tried the fancy chains that you can get at the grocery store but that design didn't work for me. I have been using this cord for several days and they are great! My glasses are are a heavy safety glass style that completely cover my eyes and are progressive transition lens. In the last few days this glass cord has kept my glasses in place while I was hiking, feeding horses, and sawing dead branches out of a 30' tall tree. Prior to this my glasses would slide down while I was sitting or standing still! I am so happy that I tried this style of glass cord.

Perfect for Tuna Alley model
I have a pair of Costa Tuna Alley and had trouble finding cords for them. The Tuna Alley's have wide prong ends and cords with tubular ends will not fit over them. These loop ends work perfect. Use my Costa's for golfing, fishing and driving. These cords keep them tight to my face if I use the slide piece or just keep them hanging around my neck when I walk into a building. Exactly what I was lookin for.

String like a round shoelace
I like these due to being soft and easy to pull my sunglasses down and have them right there and put the on and wear and not feeling them on my glasses. Can tighten strap if needed or leave loose if just wearing and want ease of raising and lowering.

Fathom Cord Review
Costa Del Mar Fathom Cord sunglass straps are designed for anybody that wears sunglasses while being active. I purchased these straps because I don’t like how thicker sunglass straps like the Costa Keeper Neck Strap or Costa Neoprene Classic Retainer look on small framed glasses like aviators. The Fathom Cord definitely does what it is supposed to and comes at a good price and a range of colors, however it is not the most comfortable sunglass strap available. The glasses do work as advertised when it comes to keeping your glasses securely on your head while being active and allow you to hang them around your neck while not wearing them rather than stretching them out on top of your head. The only issue wearers may experience with functionality occurs when people sweat while wearing the straps. Occasionally, the strap slips off of the end of your glasses and can cause problems if you don’t notice that the strap has fallen off, such as losing the strap or dropping your glasses. At $7.99 the Fathom Cord is fairly priced compared to other straps like the Keeper Neck Strap and Neoprene Classic Retainer which range from $5.00 to $15.00. These are very reasonable prices for Costa Del Mar products which are some of the most respected products in the industry.Another positive aspect is the range of colors that are available. The Fathom Cord comes in black, blue, orange, and coral which makes them a great option if you want a more conservative color or if you want to stand out a little more with orange or coral. The range of colors also makes them work for both men and women with options that both groups would like wearing. The only major draw back for the Fathom Cord would be overall comfort. Since the frames slide through a hole on the straps rather than the straps covering the whole end of the frame, they tend to stick out further on the frame and cause discomfort behind your ears. Being made of rubber also causes some discomfort because they are more abrasive and stick on your ear as opposed to softer materia.Overall the Costa Fathom Cord does its job as advertised with only a few flaws and looks good as well. Despite causing some discomfort at times, at $7.99 they are worth taking the risk on as maybe they will fit your head differently. Hopefully this helps with any questions you had about the Fathom Cords.
