I have an itchy scalp no matter what shampoo or conditioner I use. I don’t have redness or flaking, just itching. This product works great! Walmart is always out of stock and pharmacy stores are much more expensive.

**Important: check which seller you're ordering from. My order shipped from Pharmapacks. I've ordered several other items from them over the years. However, as other reviews mention, mine arrived with some minor (thankfully) leakage. Upon checking the 3 bottles from my order, I figured out that 2 of them had loose caps (not the applicators, but the whole cap). I don't understand why the manufacturer doesn't distribute these with a foil type seal that needs to be removed before use. If I didn't already trust Pharmapacks from many of my other orders, I would be worried about possible tampering.*I've used Scalpicin (or equivalents) on and off over 10 years for the seborrheic dermatitis on my scalp. I've tried a wide variety of prescription, medicated and non-medicated shampoos and treatments. This is the only reliably effective treatment for me. It seems like it's getting harder to find these in the stores or even on drugstore websites. I'm glad Amazon had a few sellers that are listing these in bulk and for not too outrageous of a price. Hopefully it won't be discontinued anytime soon!Rating of 4 stars is due to the leakage, lack of effective packaging, and the sensitive applicator tip. It can be tricky to get the tip open just enough for the solution to be dispersed at a reasonable rate versus a big pour. If the viscosity wasn't so thin, the tip would be fine.

I've Used Scalpicin for years, especially during the cold winters. It relieves the itch immediately. I'd bleed to death from scratching my scalp if I didn't have it. No other product works as well, and quickly as Scalpicin. JDP

I had dermatitis on my scalp and the itching was so bad I had raw spots and was scratching out my hair. The RX from my doctor helped some but my cortisone cream worked better but it was hard to get to my scalp thru my hair. So I starting searching for a liquid cortisone. This product is fantastic. It relieved the itching and the raw spots are healing. I would add more stars if I could.

Oh this stuff is a life saver, the ichting was driving me crazy and this clears it up like NOW. Just have to wash my hair the next morning

Product works great on my "cradle cap" (as I call it), the only thing that works when my outbreaks are at their worst but, there is no seal on the product. Could be tampered with for all we know. I see that this has happed to other people as well. I believe they use to put a paper seal on the bottle (under the cap) that had to be pulled off before use. Why the change? Can not get this shipped from any other on-line retailer. Is this why?
