GREAT WC DUMMY FOR THE PRICE
It arrived fast, the box was understandably HEAVY. The instructions were straightforward, I had it put together in under an hour. I've now been practicing with it for a few weeks and its exactly what I wanted, and paid for. A durable, quality Wing Chun Dummy. The pads that come with it are a nice touch. For the leg I used black Ace Bandage Wrap for the area I kick. The frame is great, yes it rocks a little when using it, but it's supposed to rock a little. I love it. You can throw a sandbag on the framework in the back if you want less give. But I haven't found it necessary at all. LOVE IT.

The best Wing Chun Dummy for the price out there.
I looked at some of the cheaper metal dummy's, and some of the other dummy's with a smaller suction base, or rectangular base.I am very glad that I went with this one. First off I am 5'11. The arms on this are the perfect height for me to deal with someone my height or a little taller. The main center pole on which the arms are mounted is about as tall as I am when this is on the base. This thing weighs 100 pounds and is a traditional size, it is not going anywhere if you hit it. I have a laminate floor so I am going to go to Home Depot to get some stick on rubber pads so it won't slide at all. Right now it is really not sliding because of the base design and the weight. The pads that wrap around the main pole make it nice to do punches and finger strikes, they attach with Velcro for easy removal.I ordered this and literally got it in one day! It was super easy to put together. My sifu told me it would cost between $1,500 and $4,000 to get a good Wooden Dummy. This is a great Wooden Dummy for the price. This I think is the best dummy for the price anywhere I have seen. Because of the weight it will not go flying. I plan on using this for at least 15 to 20 minutes a day to start. You will not be disappointed. I am not affiliated with the seller at all. I am simply a Wing Chun practitioner. who is happy with the purchase. The pics I am attaching show the dummy put to the side for storage, when I practice I move it out.

Great for the Price -- sturdy and solid
The main body is actually four pieces of wood glued together, but it's still solid and takes hits well. Since this is 1/3 the price of most, I think it's a great find for the price and will do nicely for my Kung Fu school.

Good deal for the money
This is my first WC dummy purchase. Not as sturdy as the ones I've used at the school, but that's okay, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. It slightly wobbles, so for sturdiness I give it a 7 out of 10, putting some rubber placeholders under left and right sides should make it more sturdy. I tried to disassemble to turn the front piece upside down to alleviate the problem (it is slightly bowed, making it rock left and right, but I found I had assembled it correctly, and it is either a design flaw or it is naturally warped wood). Despite this, I would recommend the dummy, because there is no need to hit it with power to make it rock - hitting it hard does not make you better, it's the ability to practice your techniques is what it's for, and in this regard it serves its purpose 100%.Another review says the 'DVD' it comes with does not work. This is because it is not a DVD, but a Video CD. To watch the videos, I recommend downloading all the files to your drive, and then run them directly from your drive. Download 'VLC media player', it's free open source for Linux, Windows and Mac. The file beginning with "05" is a lengthy demonstration on how to use the wooden dummy. The other files are Wing Chun application for self defense.

Amazing
This wooden man for training is amazing. It has the perfect weight and height. The base makes it very sturdy. The pads that come with it add to the quality and usability of the dummy. It arrived very quickly. The instructions to put it together were clear and concise. Customer service is excellent. If I had known that I could get this quality of wooden man for this price, I would have bought it a long time ago.

Must have
I saw some reviews talk about cracks-so I had mild concern that it might arrive with cracks. Mine arrived perfect with no cracks. It is excellent and everything I hoped. I like the dark stain. The wood feels great. Very sturdy.
