No the lighter does not come filled you need to buy the bottled aerosol butain lighter fluid. They sell it right here in amazon

It does not last very long at all. Mainly depending on how often you use it and how high of a flame. But really, it doesn't even make that big of a deal with those factors. I Luv it even though I have to fill it often!!!
