Q: Need a big bag to hold towels, clothes, sun lotions, some paperbacks, snacks, etc. for a family of 4. Would a couple XL's work as beach bags for us?

I can only tell you what worked for me. I packed 6 pairs of ladies' trousers and 15 long-sleeve tops and 3 bags of jewelry in one basket. In my second basket, I packed 3 large towels, 3 hand towels and 3 washcloths along with some bathroom items like a soap dish, toothpaste holder and a drinking glass. Everything fit very well and I was happy with the baskets.

The size on this one is pretty large. I purchased this one first to try to use for the grocery store. It proved to be just a little more than I wanted to handle when loaded. I then purchased the 30L size and it was perfect! I kept looking and found that they actually make one of these that is insulated and that would be what you want for food hot/cold transport. There is also a third kind that I purchased which is actually able to have ice added to it and used as an ice cooler. You may want to consider the later two for food transport.

No they don’t I personally didn’t wait long for my bags to be delivered. Fantastic bag and very strong and holes a lot. JM
