I got spoiled, picked up an expensive Cambridge notebook at a Target years ago because I like the feel of the cover and pages and I got hooked. Being left-handed, spiral notebooks are a challenge but these are thin enough to lay flat and the spiral doesn’t get in the way.Pages are smooth for writing. I love a bold pen and am a heavy-handed writer. Sharpie doesn’t bleed through although you can see it from the other side. I really like these smaller ones that are easy to pop into my laptop bag and carry around a warehouse making notes.Most of my job is on a computer, but I always have a notebook handy to scribble down things which helps me commit them to memory. This purple one has that soft velvety feel cover I like most and I like the color. I also buy the larger letter size black one that is nice but boring. There’s a cheaper teal one the same size as this purple one I also get but that cover is a bit more plastic feeling.Extremely sturdy - covers never fall off and pages don’t rip out. I go through so many of these notebooks that I finally started dating the covers so I can know at least what time of year it was from if I go back to find a note.I have been using Cambridge notebooks i’m mixed exclusively for the last five years, and I am hugely disappointed if I have to grab something else in a pinch. We live in a small town so it’s not like I can just go to the store and get a nice notebook - we are lucky if we have a 5 Star option but usually it’s those cheap paper cover notebooks. I have finally started stocking up and bought some extras, but unfortunately, with recent projects, I am going through them like crazy. I probably haven’t bought 100 Cambridge notebooks, but it has to have cleared 50.This one isn’t the cheapest I buy here, but it’s much better than buying it out at a store and it’s still cheaper than some of the other options here - this one is my splurge because the size, velvety cover, and color hit just right.

This gorgeous little notebook is my new happy place, the color is so pretty. The quality of the cover is outstanding, did arrive with some slight “smudges” on the cover but a damp paper towel wiped it right away. Only thing is I wish it had more than 80 pages. Perfect size, I like that the pages are perforated. Would buy again! I want a planner with this same cover material. So I’m on the hunt for that now!

I am a language « nut » who never stops studying. These notebooks help me keep organized: vocabulary, conjugations, grammar, live lessons, etc. I like the size of these notebooks because they are not cumbersome. They are especially nice to use during a live lesson.

This is my go to notebook for work and meetings. It is 9x7” (or close to that). It fits easily in my purse.Each page has date slot and lined page for meeting notes. I use this every day for meetings for projects and like the pages are perfect size for a typical business meeting note.

I really like this notebook! I judge notebooks on both their outsides and insides. Here's the scoop:The inside:The pages are fairly notebook-standard: thin enough to see text behind a page, but sturdy enough to stand up to lots of page turning. The pages have scored lines for removal from the binding edges, but I get cleaner edges folding along the scored line a few times and then removing the page. It's not difficult to remove a page, binding edge and all, from the notebook (in case you prefer that method).The lines on the front and back of each page are light gray; they are a little hard to see in dim light but very pleasing in normal office lighting, daylight, etc. There's a little date box at the top right of the front of each page. I tried out several different types of writing utensils to see how different inks performed on the pages. I provided a photo of my results. In general, anything that is a marker bleeds through--including a highlighter marker. This isn't surprising as most notebooks perform that way, so I don't consider that a negative.The outside:The cover of this notebook is indeed lovely to see and to touch. It's almost velvety! However, the cover is relatively floppy, so you'll probably want a hard surface to use for writing; the notebook isn't suited to using on your lap. That limits the notebook's function for me. Any lotion or oil on your hands will also stain the cover. Finally, unless you are a very conscientious and careful person who has a much more organized bag than I do, the cover will show travel wear. Nothing catastrophic (yet); just things like slightly crunched corners and wear to the edging. The spiral binding, however, is pretty tough. It looks like it did the day it arrived, pristine and brand-new!Overall, my four-star rating is due to all I like about this notebook; I took off one star for the relative floppiness of the cover and its susceptibility to wear. However, when I fill this notebook up, I'll get another one just like it and keep it on my desk for office use. There are other notebooks for travel.

I keep a lot of notes because I'm very forgetful and these have been wonderful to have. Ideal size and quality for me. It's just beautiful and the cover is so soft and smooth. I will be ordering more.

I got hooked on these notebooks for meetings. The smaller size is even better, but they are made so high quality, the pages always turn the coil doesn’t break away, causing you to lose pages. They hold up very well to refer back to you.
