Animology Paws & Nose Balm 50ml, clear, EQP009, 14ANI53, 50 ml (Pack of 1)

My dog has Hyperkeratosis. His nose was really bad - dry, crusty, pitted, sore and even bits falling off at the nostrils and sides. I’ve tried every cream and balm going but nothing really made much of a difference. They just seemed to sit on the surface and not penetrate and then he wiped or licked it off. Within the first application of this, his nose immediately looked moisturised, and he didn’t try and wipe or lick it off as it had soaked in. I checked his nose a few hours later and it was noticeably softer and some of the crusts had already started to fall off. It’s continued to work wonders. I have to apply it twice daily but that maintains his nose beautifully. I’ve never written a review on here but this has made so much difference to my dog’s nose it’s unbelievable.

This balm has made huge difference. The pics above are 5/6 days apart. Applying once/twice a day. I’ve tried lots of different things for his nose before such as Nose Balm, coconut oil, heel creams etc but he’s always hated it and rubbed it off. He doesn’t enjoy me putting this on but he doesn’t run off at all and within a few days his barnacles (lumpy scab parts) started to drop off and it looks so much better! Totally worth purchasing. Will continue using twice a day now I know it works until totally ‘normal’ looking then go down to once to maintain and hope that works long term 😊.

I only applied it twice and discovered that it was causing my dog to produce an excessive amount of saliva. At first I couldn't understand why he was drooling so much. He was like a dripping tap and left a wet trail of saliva wherever he went. His bed was soaked after about an hour and our floors had to be mopped to stop them becoming slippery. I thought he was ill and that he may have licked something outside that could have caused the reaction. I had no reason to think it would be the cream. He did improve after 12 hours or so. However, I applied a small amount of cream a second time a couple of days later and he immediately started drooling again without even licking much of it from his nose. It may be ok for some dogs but definitely not for mine. It actually caused me a lot of worry. I now use virgin coconut oil and that has greatly improved his crusty nose without any side effects at all.

Wish I'd have taken before and after pix. It's a small tube but u only need a small amount for the nose. Used on my bichon frise who's nose was all crackle and broken and very grey not black. I used it twice a day for the first 5 days, I could see an obvious difference by day 3. She looked fresh and healthy again. I dropped it to once a day, now just use it once every few and it's stayed just as good a result as at the start. She does lick it after it's on bit being a vegan product there's not been any issues with this. Vets very surprised, as they could offer her nothing to help it. Will continue to use every few days but so far the small tube has gone a very long way and still have a lot left. I found putting it in the fridge was easier too, made it a bit more jelly like rather than liquid so easier to apply with less wasted

The only nose balm I've tried on my 2 French bulldogs that they don't rub off on the sofa or rug. Nice texture that sinks straight in. Cured a dry nose in 3 days. Would recommend and will buy again.
