Why can't these be used outside of training purposes?

They do not have a one-way valve. They are cotton fiber for training purposes, and supposed to be used on manikins. One goes to each student and they do not use them again after the training. They are discarded. There is nothing in the cotton fiber to prevent "regurgitation", and sharing them would only be facilitating illness through exposure.

Perfect for CPR Training

I am a First Aid/CPR/AED instructor. These individually wrapped masks are perfect to hand out to my students for practice in class. Getting 50 for the less than $15 allows me to give away extras to my students that want to carry one with them in case (God forbid) it's needed. Great product for a great price. What else can I ask for? Highly recommend!
