Holding up really well over 2 years
Durable material, feels sturdy and strong in hand. A bit heavy but reassuringly well made. Taken this on multiple sets and it performs satisfactorily.

Really quality construction, really HEAVY!!
This stand is an amazing value. It is constructed like a tank. But like tanks, they are heavy an can be a problem for people that shoot outdoors and have to carry the stand around. This beast weighs in at 30 pounds!! It's nice in that it's less likely to be as influenced by wind, versus stands that are lighter. However, I can't judge this for a use that it may not be intended. This stand will be perfect for a studio or for film use indoors or where you don't need to move it far or often. The stand comes with a "turtle" bottom, which means that it separates from the stand itself and collapses for easy storage. The boom grips hold very well, and I can easily see 22 pounds being supported no problem. The arm is only 42" so it's not a very long boom arm but for most uses, it's probably fine. The construction is impeccable however. The finish is beautiful and I appreciate the quality. Nothing cheap about this stand. However the weight may well put an early end to it's use as I found the Avenger stands are only 20 pounds and they support 22 pounds as well. I'm going to try an Avenger to see if I like it better and I'll try to report any comparisons for you. This stand is cheaper than the Avenger though, so if you want to save money and don't care about your back, get this one!

I LOVE THIS C-STAND!!!
Is love too strong a word for a C-Stand? In this case, I think not. THIS THING IS AWESOME! For starters, yes it is heavy. But it's the kind of heavy that gives you faith it could hold up a sack full of baby goats if need be! (Gently, of course -- 'cause they're just kids) But for the price, this stand is MILES ahead of more expensive versions. The handles are an ergonomic dream and you will find yourself turning them just because it feels good. Also, it goes so high up there's almost nothing video or photo related you can't hang on here and still keep it out of the shot! Lights, boom mics, even reflectors and umbrellas. So far I've hung a full LED light panel off it, shotgun mic, a giant reflector panel, all with zero problems. It's like having a permanent production assistant at my beck and call, only this one doesn't ever get tired, unlike its owner.I will definitely be getting another one -- or four -- of these bad boys! Thanks Impact! You guys are more awesome than a sack full of baby goats!

Great c-stand, not imitation junk.
Exactly identical to the more expensive and absolutely terrific Kupo turtle base c-stand, other than the name cast into the grip handle and the color of the sticker indicating how to pull up the leg locking ring.Note that the black powder coated paint WILL scratch, just like on the Kupos. If that's a problem for you, stick with the chrome version. This is NOT the JUNK you normally get as a cheap c-stand on Amazon. This is heavy, perfectly manufactured, and will stand up to years of abuse on a grip truck and real sets, just as well as an Avenger or Matthews. Also, the turtle base is a real junior pin compatible receiver, unlike most of the cheap junk.

Hefty quality
As others noted, this is one hefty stand. Weighing in at 25 pounds (it feels lighter in the hand, though), it's practically it's own sandbag. And the rod is tall. If you plan on taking this on location, make sure it fits in your bag or be ready to carry it separately. The knobs are large and there is a rubber seal to help cushion/protect the rods knobs where they touch. My unit came with a little oil on the these seals (and thus on the extension rods themselves) which was smelly, but nothing to be concerned about. Something to keep in mind. One of the advantages of C-Stands is there ability to balance on uneven terrain-- you just slide one of the legs up. Turtle bases can't do this. The locking mechanism (which really does make it easier to set up quickly) also keeps all of the legs at the same spot. This is true of all turtle base c-stands, not just the Impact.

Great
Nice c-stands. They’re very heavy compared to my Matthew's stands.

The best quality / price I have seen on the market
This product is a super quality !!! Really heavy ! Well made ! The best quality / price I have seen for a light stand. I bought theImpact Heavy Duty Swivel Pin that I recommend too to complete the stand. I use it only in studio for my main light (Elinchrom flash w/ octabox 135) so I needed a heavy stand. To stabilize and counterweight don't forget to have / buy Sand Bags and a Counterweight ( I use theManfrotto 172 3 lbs Counterweight) so you will be able to put your light very high and above your model. Just take care if your assistant is a girl it may be hard for her handling that heavy stand. In my case I have to do it myself because it is too dangerous for her and my studio flash, and trust me it s not an easy thing. So to use it outside.... I will say, in my case, No, no way. I will order a second one, I love this stand !!

Amazing! I Feel Pro Now!
Love my C-stand in every way. Super high build quality and I think it’s what the pros use too! I just use mine for a key light but you can do a ton with it. It is so solid and I don’t even need sand bags for my key. told my friend to buy the same one and the package on his was damaged so the 2nd grip head came out of the package during shipping. I don’t think that was Impact’s fault. Now I want to buy another one or a shorter one or a rolling one.
