Burt's Bees Peppermint and Rosemary Body Wash - 12 Ounce Bottle

Once upon a time, I stumbled across a peppermint body wash that I fell in love with. It was a better wake-up boost in the morning than any caffeine intake could ever be. Sadly, for some unknown reason, the company stopped making it. And there were tears, wailing, rending of clothing, and a constant hunt for a new beloved minty body wash. I tried many over the years, but all they could offer was the scent of mint...not the tingle of it. And more often then not it was a fake chemical scent that I found irritating and/or migraine inducing.And then, lo and behold, I tried the Burt's Bees Peppermint and Rosemary body wash. And I wonder why I didn't try it eons ago. I love other Burt's Bees products...what was holding me back? Uh, mostly the fact that I never saw it in a local to me store before, and I don't usually buy bath stuff online unless it's Aveda? But, illness and disability had me adding some "regular" items to my Amazon Subscribe & Save, to lessen the burden of carrying more stuff home from the store. And this popped up as a S&S item under bath products.Could it be? A new body wash to love? I took the plunge and haven't regretted it since.Do you want your skin to tingle with peppermint? Your senses to be awaken by bold natural scents? To leave your shower feeling invigorated? For me to stop talking like a television commercial?Fine, fine. Obviously we all get that I love this stuff. It smells good. It feels good. It's awesome. And Burt's Bees is a reputable, conscientious company. So what have you got to lose?

The scent is eye-opening in the best possible way -- and the peppermint and rosemary are an excellent combination with the mint and pine fragrance blending well together. The soap is somewhat thin but it bursts into lather when a small amount is applied to a bath poof. The soap cleans well, rinses off easily and does not leave skin feeling dry. It is not sickeningly sweet or heavily perfumed and has a fresh smell that works well for both men and women. Other than being careful when pouring the thin liquid out so as not to waste any product, I have nothing bad to say and will definitely buy again.

I love this, but it's not for everyone. It definitely smells like peppermint, but I don't really smell the rosemary. After scrubbing yourself with it, it kind of becomes a gingery citrus smell which is still really nice. It is a watery consistency but a little bit goes a long way because it lathers really well! Some people have mentioned that they got pimples from using this. One funny thing about peppermint and rosemary oil is that it detoxifies. So I broke out a little on my chest and shoulders, but the oils did their job and everything cleared up. It's actually doing you some good. Of course, if it's really bad, I would stop using it. Also, because the scent is so strong, it's going to kill any bad scents lingering on you. If you work at a hospital, like me, you're set!

One of my favorite scents is peppermint and it truly awakens the senses. The fragrance isn't overpowering and the smell lasts on the skin for perhaps an hour. From a soap perspective, it works well at washing away the daily grime and its doesn't dry my skin. On the other hand, I do not feel it moisturizes my skin either but that is what I used lotion for.A warning for ladies: Peppermint (/peppermint oil) has been known to irritate sensitive skin and "private parts". I haven't had any problems after using this product continuously (over 6 months) but if you have sensitive skin in general, I would be extra careful.

I love this shower gel! It smells, and feels wonderful. I can use it daily, without my skin drying out as it sometimes does with other products. The peppermint oil in this soap is very energizing, and leaves your skin feeling fresh and clean. I am almost through the first bottle of this that I purchased, and I plan on buying again as soon as I run out. I have yet to be disappointed in any Burt's Bees products. I highly recommend this product to anyone interested in buying it :-)

This is the first product I have used from Burts bees. I really enjoy it. It smells very fresh and leaves me smelling good even after I rinse off and get out of the shower. I love the fact that it is all natural. This soap is very minty, which is hard to find in a lot of bath products in this price range. I would say that it has about the same intensity of mint as Teatree shampoo. The bottle is even a very nice quality and easily squeezes to release the soap. You know, I remember when Burt's Bees products first came on the market in the 90's and everyone loved it, everyone had tried at least 1 of their items... such good good quality. My fave was the cuticle cream & toothpaste, always pricey but you just needed a teeny tiny bit to be effective. Th Body was is fragrant & did the job, of cleansing really well, the scent does not last on your skin, I wish it did. When I was searching for a more antibacterial body wash, I thought I would be getting a quality product that will surely last me a long time. Not so, I needed to transfer some product out of the bottle into a pump dispenser and when it easily poured into the second container I knew this was a heavily watered down product and I sighed...then I did a little research and saw that Clorox now owns this company AND Burt really got the short end of the stick on his business dealings!! RIP. So I will NOT be buying this again as it is heavily watered down. There is a competitive brand that is pure product so I will switch to that.

This body wash is AMAZING. It wakes me up and makes my skin tingle. It makes me feel SO clean. It doesn't produce a whole lot of sudsing, but that doesn't bother me in the least. My skin feels smooth and clean after using this product and the fragrance lingers for hours after I get out of the shower. The scent is neutral enough that my boyfriend and I both use it and love it.Be warned that your boyfriend will use entirely too much of this product because it doesn't produce as many suds. :-P

Food product. Makes you feel fresh and clean. ONLY downfall is that it burns if used in your private areas.
