I got this rangefinder to help out when I’m using some of my old film cameras that use zone focusing. Its size is perfect to just carry around in your pocket. Unfortunately it’s only useful indoors. The display just disappears outdoors and the laser is very difficult to see and even if you manage to find your subject with the laser the rangefinder can’t work in the high ambient light. It would help, I think, if it used a green laser since they are brighter than the red ones. I wish the company had an alternative for me.

Super nice compact measuring tool to have!It works well, it's compact, the battery life isn't bad, and my cat loves the laser.It's not quite accurate enough for very short distances, but for measuring entire rooms, it's super nice, measuring down to the milimeter isn't all too important.Really solid tool, overall! Wish you didn't have to connect to the app for a bunch of the features, but having that all controlled via smartphone brings down the parts cost and keeps it more affordable, so at the end of the day, no complaints.

Very nice design. I had high hopes it would work well. It made accurate measurements wall to wall inside the house. I had hoped to use it for some exterior measurements in difficult terrain - from a pole to a flat wall. It would only give me an error message. The distance was only 45 ft. so it was not that it was too far away. It appears that the problem was bright sunlight. It does not work in sunlight. In the shade it worked OK. But then I dropped it in wet grass. Even though I dried it out carefully, it never worked again. Garbage.
