Beautiful. Convenient, & functional, but hurts my wrist and not text notifications
I've had my Amaz fit for a week now and there are some pros but also some major cons.1. Its beautiful, and doesn't look or feel like a piece of technology at all which I love. My only worry with its looks was the band it comes with. It makes it look like a watch. I've had so many people come up and say "Your watch is so pretty! But how do you tell the time on it?" So then i have to explain to them that it is a fitness tracker. I wanted this to look like a regular piece of Jewelry that no one would ask questions about. But I ordered the rainbow bracelet accessory in an effort to make it less watch like. So maybe once I have that this issue will be solved. Its really great to have so many options on how you wear it!2. As far as functionality, it tracks my steps and my sleep just fine. And it vibrates when I get a phone call. Which is great but that's the only notification you can get. I was hoping this would be a way for me to be able to leave my phone in my purse and still be connected. But as a millennial I rarely make or receive phone calls (only my parents call) all other communication is through texting. So it is extremely inconvenient that this tracker doesn't have the capability to vibrate when I get a text. If it could do that I think it would literally be perfect, and have all of the basics covered. I'm hoping they add that in the future as it would just be a software update not hardware.3. Last and most importantly, The tracker seems to be hurting my body, but that might be my own fault. The tracker has 2 sides, 1 made of ceramic that is blank and smooth, and one made of i think metal, that has small white writing on it (you can barely see it). The metal side is so that the device can wirelessly charge and that's the side that you put onto the charger. I think you aren't supposed to be able to tell where one side stops and the other begins but as you can see in the picture mine has some dirt or something in the place where the 2 surfaces meet, it was like that right out of the box. In the box the tracker was already in the bracelet and the metal side with the letters was facing up in the bracelet, like that's the part that would be showing and the ceramic part would be touching my arm. I though that was wrong, because why would the side with writing be the side showing. So i flipped it over and made the ceramic side showing. I think that was a mistake. After about 4 days my wrist and hand started hurting when i would wear the bracelet like soreness and plain in my muscles and bones. And the same when i wore it on my neck soreness and pain in my collar bone area and a head ache. I'm not sure but I think that having the metal side touching my skin was somehow conductive with the devices battery and started causing me pain. I realized that might be the problem yesterday and decided to flip it over so that the ceramic side touches my skin. I think its better, but i am not entirely sure yet as the soreness from before hasn't completely gone away yet.Another thing to note is that the instructions that were included were entirely in what i am assuming is Japanese. So if there was some instruction on what orientation to wear the tracker, i couldn't read it. But i set up the device just fine through you tube videos and a little bit of guessing. All but the orientation I guess.Overall, I like this tracker and i want it to work out. The step tracking really motivates me to move throughout the day. Its easy to forget when your at a desk all day but the tracker really helps me stay accountable. As well as for sleep, when you have proof that you've slept an average of 5 hours a night this week. It motivates you to make changes. If they added text notifications (which i am hopeful they will do) then it will have all of the functionality I need. And hopefully after a few days of wearing it in the correct orientation my writs wont hurt anymore. I'm excited to get the rainbow bracelet attachment but I don't know how ill feel about that dirty part on the metal side showing. Right now the gold watch part covers it, but it wont be covered in the new bracelet. so we'll see.

Great minimalist tracker with vibrating alarm
Perfect if it is what you're looking for. At first, I hated it and wanted to return it, so just a few quick tips. Charge it first. Mine came completely dead and that was why I couldn't pair it. Leave it next to your phone with the app open to get a firmware update notification. You cannot manually update the firmware, but instead have to wait for the popup. The alarm function was not working until I did the firmware update. I was so frustrated, that I was getting ready to return it. Fortunately, the popup for the firmware update showed up before I packed it back up. Also, the manufacturer's website says the alarm feature is only for Android, but it works for iOS too now.Pros:1. Minimalistic: Takes up little space, very light, and easy to forget you're even wearing it. I wore it while doing yard work and it wasn't an issue at all.2. Vibrating alarm: Great for waking up without bother your significant other. It now works for iOS. Allows you to set up to 10 alarms, with individual repeat options for select days of the week. Great for phone calls too in case you don't have your phone on you and you are in bluetooth range.3. Long battery life: Easily last over a week on a single charge. It is stated to last 10 days but it is closer to 8 days for me. It charges to full in about an hour so that is fairly easy to do once a week.4. Somewhat accurate pedometer and sleep tracker. It seems to be somewhat accurate. The only other pedometer I have at the moment is my phone, which reports about 1/3 of the steps from this tracker. However, just based on my gut feeling, I think the real number is in between these two devices.5. Water resistant: You can take a shower with it, which is great not having to take it off and put it on every day.Cons:1. Vibrating alarm only last for 30 seconds. One way around it is to set multiple alarms every minute to make sure you wake up in the morning. Also, it does not have a smart alarm feature to wake you when you're in light sleep. It also cannot be set up to alert you of incoming messages (text or email).2. Limited options for straps. I like the simple black equator strap it comes with because it is minimalistic and discreet. However, all the other straps for sale are large, which ruins the point of this model in my opinion. I don't see the same OEM equator strap for sale by itself in case you ever need to replace it.3. Not waterproof. The manual says you cannot swim with it.4. Have to take it off the strap to charge. It is pretty easy to pop it off though.5. The accuracy of the acitvity tracker. Not too sure how accurate it is. At least you can judge your relative activity from day to day.

Do not purchase it, first of all amazfit has ...
Do not purchase it, first of all amazfit has no support for public anywhere let it be usa or india, they take weeks to reply to a simple mail about complains of their product and secondly they claim the ceramic is strong and next to diamond but it isnt. So dont get fooled in purchasing this high priced fancy activity and sleep tracker rather take any other product. I have purchased it and regretting it... Never again amazfit this isnt the first product they have scams or issues with. This is my second regret and second purchase with amazfit..

I love the look and it fits perfectly
I love the look and it fits perfectly. I've had this for two months now and only take it off when washing dishes/in the shower/doing contact sports.I admittedly have not vetted its data across any other tracking devices, but I do feel that the step count is a tad high compared to my last device; however, my last device had a very unreliable clasp. The Amazfit I have found to be secure and comfortable and not at all obtrusive. One thing I noticed: the connection to my phone can be a bit unreliable. I was trying to show my friends the vibration feature, where it will buzz as an alarm or when you get a phone call (which was the ultimate deciding factor for me in purchasing), and it did not work. Typically, and as of lately, I have not been having an issue on this front (so it may be my personal device!).

Don't waste your time
Packaging is amazing, device is very comfortable and looks great but that is about all it has going for it.As for functionality, it didn't even connect to the app right out of the box after a full charge. Followed the troubleshooting guide which has 3 suggestions. Nothing. If all I wanted was a piece of jewelry, I would have bought a piece of jewelry.
