Reliable QHD 165Hz Output—2-Way Testing Not Feasible
I’ve been using the Cable Matters USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 Cable with my 16-inch M4 Pro MacBook Pro and Samsung LC34G55T ultra-wide monitor, and here’s my experience:System Setup:My MacBook Pro has the following configuration:Apple M4 Pro chip with 14-core CPU, 20-core GPU, and 16-core Neural Engine.24GB unified memory and 1TB SSD storage.Three Thunderbolt 5 (USB-C) ports, HDMI port, SDXC card slot, MagSafe 3 port, and Liquid Retina XDR display. My monitor is a Samsung LC34G55T ultra-wide, with a resolution of 3440 x 1440 and refresh rate of 165Hz, which I used for this review.Performance:The cable works as advertised. It successfully achieved the full 3440 x 1440 @ 165Hz refresh rate on my Samsung monitor, something HDMI couldn’t handle. It provides reliable video output via DisplayPort Alt Mode from my MacBook Pro’s Thunderbolt 5 ports.2-Way Operation:I cannot confirm the cable’s 2-way operation, as I don’t own a USB-C input monitor to test it. I use the cable solely for my Samsung LC34G55T monitor, and it has performed exactly as expected.Final Thoughts:This cable does exactly what it promises. It provides reliable and consistent video output for high-refresh-rate monitors. It’s a solid choice, and I recommend it to anyone whose needs are similar.

Compatibility vs. others
Product worked great where others failed. Used to connect my computer to a UWQHD monitor. Others that claimed the same compatibility did not even send a signal. They would display with my phone connected but not my pc's (tried 3 different computers). This product worked perfectly after finding it mentioned in a forum conversation. If you don't think it is a cable problem, check again...it might just be the problem.

Great USB-C to DisplayPort Cable
I am using it to connect my Dell laptop with 32 inch display at 2K@240 Hz and signal quality is good, no flickering and etc. 10ft cord length is good to have a laptop enough away. Cable is enough thin and soft, quality feels good. I am happy with the purchase.

Works on MacBooks
Was struggling to connect my MacBooks to the new monitor with DisplayPort. Existing cables (MacBook HDMI -> Monitor DisplayPort) were not working - apparently, displayport does not work this way. This cable resolves the issue - no issues connecting MacBooks (Pro and Air) from USB-C to DisplayPort on my monitor.

My monitor works again!
Solved a major problem that I had where my widescreen monitor (Samsung C49RG9x) would not connect at wider resolutions after a MacOS update to Sequoia 15.4.1. I was using a DisplayPort to Mini DisplayPort plugged into a dock that then plugged into my MacBook via USB-C. This USB-C to DisplayPort cord plugged directly into my computer and allowed me to connect at 5120x1440. I am VERY pleased.

Exactly what I needed.
Real hefty cable, pretty thick but not stiff. It was just what I needed to connect my MacBook to my monitor.

Connects an Apple Monitor and a desktop PC
This product does EXACTLY what I needed. It allows me to hook my Apple Studio monitor up to my new PowerSpec G911 PC. I didn’t need or want the speaker functionality, nor did I want to power a laptop. I just wanted to use my PC and my Apple monitor together, and for that it works perfectly.
