The color of the wires in this case is of no significance. The button serves to apply continuity between the two wires. It will depend on things like the sampling rate of your recording. At a low sampling rate (you really don't need higher quality, given the speaker) you could probably fit as many as 6-8 average songs. At higher quality sampling rates, maybe only 2.

How do I get rid of previous recording? I delete and replace but it still plays one after the other.

I had to not only delete the old recording but then empty the trash can of the computer. It seems deleting doesn't actually delete it but just marks the space as open for rewriting new data.
