Q: how do you replace this on the Iconpet, I removed the head and tried to unscrew, but it does not budge. Anyone have a video or pics? thanks

This is a finger pinching power and patience exercise. You don't disassemble the vacuum head at all other than removing the broken tube. It's possible the original head is slightly glued in place, get a firm grip and twist as best you can. For my Icon Pet 22889 - If the head is facing away from you as if you were going to vacuum - you rotate the far side of the tube to the right to remove it. If the head is slightly flat you should be able to rotate both sides at once, by pinching in the open area of exposed tube. For installing - you would rotate your new tube to the left. I haven't gotten my replacement yet, but the removal seems to have shown me how it is set up. My tube was mostly broken so I got some wire clippers and finished the cutting job so I had 2 short tubes in the spots. Then it was MUCH easier to reverse out the hoses. They just rotate into place until they won't go anymore. There aren't many threads to hold the hose, but since it is short and screwed in the 2 sides of the swivel head - it should hold.

Take the head off the vacuum and it just unscrews as the one side is reverse threaded so as you tighten one side it’ll pull into both

Yep. I have a 2288 and it fit. I went to the Bissell website first and could not find the hose nor any mention of it. So I tried Amazon and found this hose made by an outside company. You would think Bissell would let us paying customers know where to look, right BIssell? To put this on, you will need to screw one end all the way into one side of the 'lower floor nozel'. Then position the other end and start unscrewing the first end. The hose will start screwing into the second end. Unscrew the first end about 2 1/2 turns. The other end will be screwed in those 2 1/2 turns and you will be all set. You may want to give it another turn. I did not count the turns when putting in the first side. Mine works fine now.

Great replacement part

Better quality than original hose. Be aware replacing the hose involves completely disassembling the vacuum head. Everything is a Philips head screw but, it is time consuming. After installing the new hose, cleaning and reassembling the vacuum works as new.

Good replacement for broken hose

Bissell has a poor design on the vacuum head and overstresses the hose. It was quite a task to replace and I don’t recommend unless you are comfortable completely disassembling the vacuum head.This hose appears to be better made than the factory hose and fits well as a replacement.This hose fit perfectly and got our vacuum back up and running. Would purchase again but got 2 in the original package, so it might be a while.

Difficult installation but good product.

The quality and value of the part (two-pack) is very high. No complaints. This was a difficult installation. Not because of the hose but the design of the Bissell icon pet vacuum. Found no help on the internet.I will offer a hint: The hose is a coil. It screws into each end. Seems simple but in practice not an easy task.

Great replacement part!

We love our Icon Pet vacuum and we’re sad when the flex hose broke after 2 years of constant use. This hose is a great replacement and eliminates the need to replace the whole head unit.Beware though, that it is very tricky to replace and needs a lot of patience, but it fits perfect and looks to be better constructed than the oem plastic tube.

Better than the original!

Bought these to fix 2 Bissell icon pets-one is our daughters, one ours, and they both did the same thing-the hose broke on the carpet head. These replacement hoses are far better than the OEM ones! Takes awhile to put on-have to tear the head apart, but 20 minutes later, it was fixed, and ready to go. Highly recommend!
