Tvilum Walker 2 Drawer Desk, White High Gloss

For the price this desk is quite nice. I wasn’t expecting it to be the best quality but I took the risk knowing that I would be “customizing” it. The stock picture makes the legs look white but they are not white....they are matte silver. That didn’t bother me since I was going to paint them gold anyways. I really can’t complain since other high gloss desks are upwards of $200-$400.A couple things to note:The directions are pretty bad but if you have ever built Ikea furniture then you should be fine. I have a lot of experience with Ikea builds so this wasn’t a huge problem for me.The cam locks are very cheap and weak grade aluminum so they strip easily.There were several extra screws which I never figured out what they were for. I have every possible hole taken so these are a mystery to me.The gloss is really nice but does not cover ALL edges. The desk top and drawer fronts are gloss and the other sides are not. Not a big deal in my opinion but want to point it out.The wood that sticks out under the desk (back) was showing with 2 holes where the cam locks are. They do provide white stickers to cover them but the stickers where pretty obvious. So what I did is take marble contact paper and covered the entire board. I think that it adds a nice unexpected detail plus covers that rear board up nicely.

Ok—I was very skeptical about purchasing this desk because of all of the negative reviews. BUT; I went ahead and bought it anyway because it was exactly what I was looking for (after I spray painted the legs gold) and it was easy on my pockets compared to similar desks. Now, I KNOW that I am not one for building furniture, I know that boyfriend is also not one for building furniture. So in order to save some frustration I asked my cousin who’s more familiar with handy work to assemble it for me. The instructions were in Chinese however he was able to use the pictures and some common sense as a guide. There were a couple steps that he knew didn’t make sense, so he followed his common sense instinct and it was assembled within an hour! He said “it wasn’t that bad” after I gave him a good warning about the difficulty. I took the advice of another buyer and laid marble contact paper over the back panel to cover the exposed holes and add a touch of “glam”. Overall, I LOVE this desk and would purchase it 100 times over. You just need to lay all of your pieces out, take a few deep breaths, always use common sense and go piece by piece. My cousin assembled the legs, then the sliders for the drawers and brought it all together. Mid way, I was able to apply the contact paper and that also was a breeze! Five stars for the desk itself, it looks very high end. Three starts for assembly.

BEWARE: not ikea clarity instructions! Frustrating at times...but hopefully assembly pix here add some help. (?)I put this desk together with my 4 year old who is becoming a furniture assembly queen herself. ( it's a puzzle, of a fun sort for her.) Anyhow, i love the shiny white finish on the desk. Back side/ stabilizer mdf has raw edges making desk seem cheap. You can only see it from below desk...but still. The devil is in the details. Speaking of which, drawers do NOT line up perfectly. Drives me a bit crazy...(misalignment was not my fault) but I'll get over it...eventually.One drawer bottom came cracked and drawer insides a "bit" on the flimsy side. Like plastic hammer-in plugs holding it together.Overall, still happy with purchase as desk is perfect proportion and visible surface finishes are pretty, at a decent price. Shipping took 9 days JUST to send item out...plus delivery time. (Chair and light also amazon purchase).

As other 1-Star reviews indicated that it is not worth of the money. The reason I bought this table because I wanted a smooth/gloss finished top. However, I'm regret to buy this table. My reasons below:1. The 4 screws that are connect the legs with the top of the table are NOT TIGHT enough. These screws are screwed DIRECTLY into the soft particle board, which is the top part of the table. Therefore, it is NOT STURDY. These screws are kept turning and NO POINT OF STOPPING due to it is screwing into the soft particle board. Manufacture should have added nuts in the top part of the table so turning can be stopped. As of now, I'm not sure when the top part of the table will come loose from the bottom as the 4 screws are not tight enough.2. The Allen wrench that is included in the box BARELY FIT into the screws. So I tossed the one that came in the package and use mine and found out that it is not the Allen wrench that is doesn't fit; It is the screws that badly made. Allen wrench cannot completely goes down into the hole for you to make a nice firmly turn. I struggled with these screws as Allen wrench cannot completely sit in the screw/hole to tight them easily.3. Installation instructions is a nightmare. Only PICTURES instructions, no WRITTEN ENGLISH WORDS. It took me about 2 hours to get it done.4. The 2 drawers do not slide in/out easily. Given the table is very small and light weight, when pulling on the drawer, I'm afraid that the table will come down with it. So every time I pull the drawer out, I have to use my other hand to hold the table.I will update how long this table will last......

Love love love😍😍 this desk is so cute and affordable! I see a lot of people complaining about how difficult it is to assemble this desk and that is not the case for me at all. It was pretty straight forward, yes there are no English texts but you literally just look at the pictures and you’ll see exactly what you need to do. It did take a while to assemble but I’m assuming that’s bc I actually TOOK THE TIME to look over the instructions to put it together properly. Mine came with everything I needed to put it together including extra pieces which is cool. I love my desk, super shiny and modern looking. I have zero complaints.TIP: If you want a little bit more guidance building it use the google translate app and use the camera option, it wasn’t necessary for me but it may help you.

The package arrived with lots of tape wrapped on one side, I was worrying it could be a damaged or returned item. So I decided to return it at first. But before I went for Post office, I felt I should give it a chance. Then I carefully cut the tape off and pulled out the components. .... after spent 2 hours assembling it. I am happy with it. It might be opened before, but looks new and for sure all the holes are intact --- no installation earlier. It is not easy to put together, but I do feel its drawers design are more robust than IKEA ones which I have several at home. Not very sure of three hangers though. I guess that might be the reason some people earlier complained drawers fell off. I learned for years never put heavy things in drawer unless it is 3K+ heavy real wood ones. Overall, it looks beautiful and clean. I hope it last long. One thing is that the desktop is floss but edge is not. It might end up with different colors after a while.... they should make the edge floss too.

Okay so right off the bat. BEAUTIFUL DESK. i will say it did have a scuff mark on the side from shipping reasons but it’s honestly okay because it’s just a beyond really pretty desk. I gave this desk 1 star for assembly because it was sooo confusing. it took 3 people and a few youtube videos to figure out how to put this together. all in all i think it wasn't worth it because after 1 months use its starting to fall apart especially the drawers. The price is super ridiculous as this desk sucks.

i’m obsessed!! it’s exactly what i wanted, however the drawers just won’t go in all the way! i don’t know what i did wrong. some of the instructions were very UNCLEAR. other than that it’s perfect!! the top and the drawers have an acrylic gloss finish and the quality of it is amazing. super happy.

This desk is just the perfect size for the space where I planned to put it… But do be advised that it is quite small. Perfect for setting up a laptop and for use as a writing desk. It looks sleek and modern – just what I wanted. It was a bit tricky to assemble and you definitely would want to use power tools - this is the reason why I gave it 4 stars rather than 5.

Table top is glossy and there are marks on it from packing or warehousing. Hesitant to try to clean off with a cleaning product from fear of damaging further. Now, for the price, this product is ok. Decent build. Assembly instructions sans words and with grade 2 illustrations are brutal. I basically had to spread everything out and build it without the instructions as they just compounded the frustration. And then, after building the thing, I found a QR code on their Amazon page with much better instructions. Why not say that in the box!!!! Why not say, "ignore what my kid did drew and go to our Amazon product page for real "grown up" instructions"?! Very frustrating. Wanted to contact the seller directly to discuss how to address scuffs on table top but the "problem with order" button is missing. Here's to hoping after all of this that the thing actually lasts. Looks good but...
