DEWALT 20V MAX Jobsite Fan, Cordless, Portable, Bare Tool Only (DCE512B)

I bought a knock off of this fan on Amazon and it worked great until I pulled it back out after the winter was over. The battery was dead, so I put the battery on the charger and used another one in that fan. Long story short, it killed two fairly new batteries. This happens when the fan uses up the battery and when it's time to charge, not even a blinking light will come on the charger. I cannot afford to loose my DeWalt branded batteries so I went ahead and purchased this one. So far, I have had no issues at all.This fan has a variable speed controller so you are not limited to low, medium or high. You can dial in any speed you like. It feels a bit sturdier than the cheap knockoff. I love that it has the hooks that pull out, though I have not used this feature. I'm using 5A batteries and on the lower speeds that I need, it has lasted weeks, with still two lights on the charge indicator. This will be used outside, and perhaps inside during power losses in the summer. I am very pleased that I purchased this fan, hoping that it lasts a long time. This does NOT have a light on it either, but that wasn't even a selling point for me. Fits any DeWalt Max battery too.

My husband wanted this fan to use during power outages and outdoors. I was skeptical at first, but I love it! It's practical and very useful. We recently attended an outdoor birthday party for a child and the weather was a little warmer than I like. I do NOT like to be warm or uncomfortable! This fan was perfect! We didn't need to worry about plugging it in anywhere - just turn it on and enjoy the nice, gentle breeze. It's so quiet, you won't remember it's on! The fan is sturdy as well. I highly recommend it!

This fan is the real deal.....great for the garage, carrying it around to jobs - and for the boat. Don't spend the crazy buck on Dewalt batteries, though - I have been using the aftermarket battery packs and charger for years - they work and last just as well. This runs all day on a 6Ah battery pack. The hanging hooks and variable speed are great features. Gonna buy another for my son's birthday...he's always hot...

It's pretty tough. One time an explosion of oil covered it.It didn't work right until I cleaned it with Dawn and a sink and let it dry a few days,still going strong today!Great for working under trucks and cars,no bugs and a breeze!

This is a true life saver at baseball games!! Or anything outdoor. We use the large batteries and they last forever.

I bought then after seeing a friend carry one at a sporting event. He had a different brand. I decided to spend more and get a Dewalt.Unfortunately this one seemed to move less air and was louder than my friend’s. I expected the opposite.
