Preschool Prep Company Meet The Phonics - Blends Workbook

The media could not be loaded. I purchased both the diagraphs and blends workbooks for my daughter to complete over summer break. She is going into the fourth grade but I felt she could use a refresher. The pages/activities are colorful and engaging without being too difficult or distracting. Emerging readers may need directions read to them. The books have perforated tear out pages. Some of the activities take up an entire page when they could probably take up less space, however, this may be handy for classroom use as mini posters or to be more easily seen if displayed on a white board or document camera. I've included a flip-through video so you can get a general sense of what is in the book. Overall I think it's a great resource for teachers and/or homeschoolers as well as parents who want to give their children some extra practice.

Good workbook. A lot of worksheets. My son definitely stays engaged.

After introducing this book to my child, she didn't put it down until she finished the entire woorkbook! Then she actually started to read on her own! This is wonderful for struggling readers.

Grandson is in kindergarten. His dad is using as extra homework to improve his reading.

It's okay in introducing blends. However, there aren't enough practice pages. I also found the workbook cover a bit dusty, which makes me wonder how it was stored.
