Door Pull Handles for VW Beetle 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005-2010 Black

Fairly easily installed inside door pulls for a 2004 VW Beetle convertible. Much better quality than the original plastic ones. These are metal. A dreml tool is essential for cutting the old ones off. These have torx headed screws where the old ones had phillips headed ones. You do not have to pull the entire door panel to cut the old ones off and install these.

Product is great. I have two new beetles and they both had door handle issues. After using an oscillating saw carefully to remove old handles new bolt and door handle made the door more durable and secure to open and close. Thank you

The factory designed handle gave up when the plastic on the door handle failed. These aftermarket replace were east to install and look great with the door card.

Installed today on the left side (driver). I opted to sand the existing sub structure flat. The OEM handle is curved. This handle is flat and does not follow the arc of the OEM handle and it will not flex. Your only options are to cut away the old handle (was not going to look good based on the way mine broke) or sand it flat. The benefit of sanding is that you are left with the plastic handle behind this aluminum plate - a benefit on hot days. I used an angle grinder to get it close and then an small orbital sander to finish. I used hot glue to repair the existing cracks and then put this new handle on top. For $30 and two hours of labor, cant get a better outcome on an old car unless you source a whole new door panel. The other option is the Dorman and it requires you to remove the door panel and trim the plastic which is old and brittle and can break. This is an easier go. Best solution I could find. Happy with the result.

Wish had bought before spending a lot of money at body shop in attempt to reattach the originals which stayed attached about a week. Have had no problems and were so easy to install and look very good.

My neighbor had me order these for him for his VW. He was happy with them. Worked fine for him

Lost my driver door handle in typical new beetle fashion. Bought these to replace and hopefully keep my door panels. The door feels so sturdy now. No flex as you're closing it like the stock handles, very nice. Only problem, the passenger door wasn't broken. Tried to force it despite what other reviews said, and it broke the handle underneath (See 3rd photo). Listen to the reviews, if you've still got a handle, trim the plastic. No points off for that though, i received ample warning from others and failed to heed it.

Had no idea vws had a problem of the door handles ripping off, until it happened. These are incredibly sturdy and more solid than the original. They attach and pull from thr inner door panel. Easy to install if the handles already busted off..if not you'll have trim plastic. Be mindful of the direction when installing them as you can install them backwards but they don't look proper.
