Kodak Li-Ion Rechargeable Battery/KLIC 7004

I decided to get an extra battery for my Kodak Zi8 before leaving for a trip. The default seller was M Z Photo. The battery arrived on time, in good condition, and was packaged as seen in the picture. I tested the run time of the battery by giving it a full charge then set my camera up to record until the battery died. My camera kept recording for just over 90 minutes (with EIS and face detection on).I was so pleased I decided to purchase another battery. After I made my purchase I realized the default seller had changed and now the battery would be supplied by a different seller with the order being fulfilled by Amazon. I was a little concerned, but decided to see what I would get. The second battery arrived in a small plastic zipper bag (not the Kodak packaging). It looked a little different too. I decided to give the battery a try, so I charged it up as I did the previous one, put it in my camera and let the camera run. My camera stayed on for 30 minutes before dying. I immediately returned the battery and placed an order for a third from M Z Photo.The second battery I received from M Z Photo arrived just as the first. I charged it up and let my camera run (1 hour and 42 minutes with EIS and face detection off).So, the bottom line is it depends on what seller you get the battery from. Take a look at the picture I uploaded so you can tell the difference between the knock-off and OEM batteries. It is easy to tell the difference if you know what to look for.

I don't have a lot of operation time in with the battery but so far it has performed well in the Kodak PlaySport video camera.I have only recharged the battery through the device and not a dedicated charging station so the recharge is a bit slow.Proper planning and two batteries should get most operators by in typical use cases.Interestingly, the power level indicator drops quickly and then levels off when the device is used for a few minutes.Turning off and restarting the camera brings the power level back up some. I am not sure what to make of this yet. The primary user of the camera misleads herself into thinking there is more charge and therefore more use life. Hopefully, this will not cause problems in the future.

I ordered this product in Arizona to be shipped to Illinois. The product arrivedIllinois before I did, so I called Customer Service to inform that USPS did notleave the product at the shipping address. Customer Service refunded my money,& directed me to just order the product again. This I did & the product wasreceived within days. Meanwhile, the first product was forwarded to my addressin Wisconsin as the postmaster had the product & followed my address changes todeliver in WI. So, I mailed back the original order to Amazon, & the second orderhad a lower price than the original, & Amazon refunded me the difference.Thank you for taking care of me, a customer, thru different & difficult situations.Ken Terry

The price of the item was great, but I guess I did not read the 'fine print'. Batteries came to me in glorified ziplock bags. One battery had a full charge, the other had no charge and would not take a charge. The company that provided the units had the name "Good as New". As I purchased through Amazon Prime, I simply thought I was getting new product at a great price direct from Amazon. Now I am not sure what I got. "Good as New" just seems to be one of those 'hocus-pocus' words that really means used... Certainly, the price was ok for the battery that works if I am able to get a season of use from it.. The refund process with Amazon is pretty straight forward so only time will tell. Guess the lesson here is, if I want to be an informed consumer, I need to do a bit more research/reading.

This works great! My other battery wouldn't charge and when this came, all I needed to do was charge my camera! The only reason I'm giving this a 4 though is the battery drains a little too fast and every time I charge it, my camera keeps 'resetting'. That might just be my camera though lol. Great product!

Bought it from Amazon for a Kodak PlaySport ZX3. On the downside I was sent an older battery with a gray label instead of the current black label. However the battery charged and lasted just as long as the one that came with the camcorder. It's a single cell battery so I can't complain.The battery life it dependent on device and the ZX3 isn't as good as say another camcorder I had before that one.

On 09/10/2013 I sent the battery back (only one day after I recieved it), as I stated on the "return authorization" page, "The battery that came is KLIC-7004 bit is 940mAh, Min. 840mAh. I need a KLIC-7004 1000mAh, Min. 950mAh."I was charged $9.48 for the battery and postage. I paid additional postage to send it back.I never was sent the proper size battery nor was I credited back the original charge. As of this writing, it has been approx. one month since I sent it back to: Johney Brooks, 9816 Colby Station Lane, Knoxville, TN. 37922-4249.I have all supporting documentation.

I am using this battery in a Kodak Playtouch video camera. If you will be using the camera extended periods of time in a single day an extra battery will be needed. Price is much better at Amazon than purchasing locally. Also recommend purchasing a separate battery charger to make keeping batteries charged easier and have camera available while charging the spare battery.
