what is the difference between the skip tooth and the fc- finish cut?

I use #7 skip tooth for my standard poodles, who don’t have to be matted to need some extra cutting power. After unsuccessfully trying a smooth blade, this one went through like butter. I recommend more than one so you can alternate when they get hot. I may try some of the longer blades because the #7 is pretty short, but it’s a personal preference and nothing against the blades. For around the face and feet, I do a light grazing with the skip tooth and finish up with a smooth flat blade.

Does the andis # 10 blade come with both blades?

What do u mean? A 10 blade is one blade

An FC blade is a finished cut. The skip tooth blade goes through thick or matted fur better. So if your dogs fur isn't matted or super thick you should only need an FC blade. I use a FC 3-3/4 or 4 FC on a cockapoo and either does a good job (the 4 just a little shorter cut) . The FC gives a nice finished look without having to use another blade .

I accidentally ordered this blade for using on a human hair. this blade is 1.5mm only than any blades. So can it applied on human hair? or pets only?

Lol my husband uses the dog clippers to shave his head all the time. They are more powerful than human hair clippers.

Blade gets VERY hoy until broken in.

The blade is very sharp, gentle enough for my standard poodle’s nose and toes. It’s limited to about 5 minutes use before becoming very uncomfortably hot. Takes 10 minutes or so to cool so you might need 2 blades or find something else to do while it’s cooling. It may just need “breaking in”. There is a cooling lube spray that speeds things up. The Andis unit and its blade are built like a tank so expect a long relationship with it. (I have a cordless trimmer I use on myself that is also useful for the dog. He just has LOTS MORE hair. My trimmer can be set to very short setting, less than 1 mm. Almost too short.) Andis unit seems very durable and has a long cord making using it very easy. Changing out blades is also quick and easy.
