This product is "marine" collagen made from the skins of cod fish. Marine collage is absorbed faster than "bovine" collage (from cows), which I believe is the main benefit of marine collagen. However, it seems to be a lot more expensive. You receive a re-closable foil bag that has 28 individual foil packets, each including 10 grams of collagen. I personally found these small packets a little hard to open by hand. There is a little crimp on one end. If the packet is facing so you can read the "Shore Magic" name inside a circle, just above the circle to the left is a small crimp that is barely visible. If you grab firmly right there, you can usually open the package, but sometimes I give up and use scissors. The packets are nice for portability, but they do contribute more waste than just a tub or bag of loose collagen.I found that it is harder to get this marine collagen to dissolve than bovine collagen, but I discovered a trick. If you put it in glass of water and stir it up, then wait about 10 minutes, when you come back the collagen will all be dissolved.This is high quality premium collagen. I do have a complaint about one claim on their Amazon page. They claim that marine collagen is "backed by science," but bovine collagen is not "backed by science." This is misleading and demonstrably false. You can easily find scientific articles about bovine collagen.

Is it spouse to smell and tast like a dead animal????Just got it yesterday this morning I drank it with my coffee and when I opened the bag it smells like dead something....the tast also the same not that strong as the smell but for sure I felt the tast. Maybe it's not good? Expired?
