Amazing product
My only negative: I’m on ordering our second 16oz bottle for our dogs, based on other reviews I was expecting to get a dropper for easy dispensing but either they only include it with smaller bottles only or they don’t include them at all anymore. I wish they at least offered it to buy separately, with 5 dogs of different sizes as well as a cat having to have two different measuring spoons is annoying and also a waste as it’s inevitable for oil to be left on the spoons and also on the rim of the bottle, which then drips and a makes a mess if we don’t wipe it off.Everything else is just five stars. Bought this particular brand on our holistic vet’s recommendation. We’ve tried a few others in the past resulting in stomach upsets or dogs just not wanting to eat it. This has a very low smell that’s barely there. It’s helped with skin and coat health immensely, particularly with our latest senior rescue that came to us with very dull coat, insane dandruff, tons of shedding and random scabs over half her body. Two months later her shedding has decreased significantly, dandruff is almost completely gone and her fur is very soft and super shiny. We also give this for heart and joint support, our two very picky old and tiny dogs with heart disease gobble it up happily when mixed with their food.It ships in a box with strong padding, I think the likelihood of the bottle being broken during shipping is very low.

Improved my cat's skin and reduced her bad cholesterol
I was surprised how well this worked for my cat. It has helped her coat, itchy skin, and lipid tests. My cat is very prone to itchy skin/allergies and would constantly scratch at her ears or face until they bled. After 2 weeks of adding the oil to her food, she is itching MUMCH less. Although it wasn't on my mind when I bought this, another perk is her coat looks so shiny and healthy (it never looked this good before). As for digestion and nutrition, I wanted to make sure she had good levels of HDL to counteract the LDL from fat in her food. She had an episode of pancreatitis a while ago and at the time, her lipids were high. She had a follow up at the vet recently where they checked her blood again, and lipids were down to healthy range. I can't recommend this product enough. It might be more expensive than other options on the market, but It's lasted me a long time. The dosing for an average cat is about 0.5mL, and I still haven't finished the bottle after a month of daily use. I also trust it more because it requires refrigeration, so the ingredients must be less artificial than the shelf-stable oils on the market.

Goodness in Every Bite
I make my own dog food for my babies because of their sensitivities and the questionable ingredients in many processed options. When I shared my concerns with my vet about possible missing nutrients, they recommended adding a specific supplement along with Balance IT to ensure their diet is complete. It did cause some loose stools at first, but reducing the amount during the adjustment period solved the problem. Their skin and coat were already beautiful, yet knowing this also supports their joints, heart, and overall health gives me peace of mind. For anyone making homemade food for their pets, this has been an important piece of our nutrition plan.

Good product. Nice bottle. Terrible lid.
PROS: quality omega-3 natural ingredient fish oil for pets. If you get the oil on your hands you may notice that it has just a hint of fish smell to it but nothing overwhelming, unless you have a fish-phobia (ichthyophobia). With a dog's heightened sense of smell the oil likely smells very fishy to them, which is a good thing. The glass bottle is nice...less plastic is better in my opinion. My french bulldog is quite sensitive to ingredient changes in his diet and so far has presented no negative reactions to consuming this omega-3 oil.CONS: The label says to refrigerate the product after opening. After two days in my refrigerator, and opening/closing the bottle a combined 4 times, the screw-on lid ripped apart. So you get a quality glass bottle with a terrible plastic screw cap. I suggest being prepared for this by having a wine bottle cork on hand to stuff in the bottle. Or perhaps, if it's not your first bottle, save your lids from previous bottles if they're undamaged.4 stars because the product seems to be great which is what really matters, but without a lid the product will spoil.

Shipped fast, dog likes the taste.
Shipped fast. Pouring is a bit messy. Imagine pouring olive oil out of a bottle into a teaspoon. A lid with a medicine dropper built in might be helpful but I can make this work. My dog was hesitant until he tasted it. Now he licks it right up. I'll probably add it to his food.

My Cat loves this stuff!
My senior cat loves this stuff, it’s his afternoon treat and he reminds me when it’s “treat time”.

New label? Actually means new formula and New
Disappointed. New label is what it says - no mention of a new lower quality formula. Bait and switch in my opinion. When you look at the back of the bottle it also has new ingredients. No longer strictly and proudly as previously written anchovy and sardine oils that have been distilled for purity. Now it's anchovy, sardine, mackerel, and herring. No mention of distillation or purity. So the extra cost for this specific brand that I've been paying for my dog's omega oil will be researched on future needs for brands that are of equivalent quality to this new lower quality that have a correspondingly suitable lower cost.Bottle on the left is the original formula. Bottle on the right is the new label/formula.
