Great for dolls
I bought an old Dawn doll (Gary) that needed to be repainted. I repainted it and used this to seal it. Looks perfect! It has a very strong odor, so use it in a ventilated area. But i barely needed any at all. It definitely dries matte, which is what i wanted. This bottle is small but it will last forever!

Useful Product for Model RR hobby
Just what is needed to coat plastic models and get rid of the shine. Gives models a realistic look. There is no hobby shop and more in my town so this is obviously the best choice.

It does dull the finish which is exactly what I want.
This is pretty much the can version but for an airbrush, or regular brush, and much more cost effective. It dulls the coat like a champ, even if it's super shinny.I painted a coat using this product over most of the black on the figure in the picture.

Great product but price is not nice
This product works good but the price has increased so much I will be looking at alternatives.

Ehhh
The finished product looks good, I like the matte look of it when it’s dried, but it is so hard to get smooth lines when applying it because it starts the curing process the second it comes out of the bottle…. It’s like you can only make ONE pass with it because if you go for another pass, it’s starts to pull up the first pass instead of laying down the second pass, if that makes sense… and after a bit of painting with it, I have to stop and go wash my brush out because its insanely fast drying time has caused a dry clump to form on the end of my brush… maybe it’s just me, but I don’t really like this stuff just for that reason…..

dullcote works well for flat finishes
I tried spraying Testor's dullcote on a model I am doing. I sprayed a gloss dark blue on the Batman figure which was too glossy. Then i sprayed Testor's dullcote (spray can) and the finish was semi glossy, so I sprayed 3 coats and still it looked semi glossy. i ordered the Testor's Dullcote Top Coat and sprayed it with my airbrush and it turned flat which was i wanted. if you are interested having a flat finish--use the Testor's dullcote.
