CT 520DY 3-in-1 Multifunction Digital Inverter Plasma Cutter + TIG Welder + ARC (MMA) Welder, Dual Voltage 110/220V Dual Frequency 50/60Hz

I purchased this combo cutter through Amazon. UPS dropped the ball on delivery "The label fell off" but Ramsond the maker of this product sent me one next day air at their expense and I got it two days later. It was packed very well and was received in great shape. It needed some assembly with simple tools. One thing I would tell a potential buyer is even though it says it needs a 150psi compressor to run it in the ad, it does not. When you get it and read the info inside it needs at least 30psi but better at 50 to 80. The compressor should be a big tank type as the small tank ones won't keep up even with the lower pressure. It works so far for everything I need it to, nice clean cuts and easy to use. Kris FALLOW UP Here we are two weeks later and second use of tool. It fried, yes sparked and smoked. It was plugged in as per the directions in the same plug we first used it in (30 amp breaker only a cord's distance from main box). I contacted the company, talked to the tech dept, they asked me to open it and take pics of inside, then said they would send me the part to fix it myself. The burned part is a printed circuit board and said they would send it same day. Here we are a week of business days later and when I called the tech said "I'm pretty sure it got sent, no I'm positive it did, I sent it USPS so you won't be able to track it. It isn't here yet... and I have a job that has been waiting for going on a month now from when I first ordered the unit. I am not as pleased as I first was to say the least and now think they may have not been honest with me in the first place "The label fell off". Come to think of it those labels are pretty sticky. At this point my suggestion is order one from someone else. I was trying to go cheap, well in the tool world you get what you paid for. Kris

The unit I first recieved didn't work, but service was great. The defective unit was replaced after trying to fix it with advice from their tech department. I appreciate good service after the sale.

I purchased this machine thinking it would be a great addition to my shop. It took a while before I actually tried it out. I wired it for 240 volts. I had some arc welding to do. So I picked up a scrap piece of iron and ready to give it a try. Confused because it came with no instructions. However how hard could it be, since I am a industrial maintenance tech right. The display would only show (002). I turned the dial and nothing changed. So I decided to arc the stinger. A very small arc, so I turned the dial up to max. Still the same. Very frustrated I went to the computer to look up the site. Found reviews that would of been real helpful before I purchased it. Made me realize to return it ASAP. I found out that I waited too long to return it within the 30 day period. So I called Amazon they issued me a call tag for UPS to pick it up the next day. When I received the refund it was minus a 148.00 restocking fee. HOWEVER ONE MORE CALL TO AMAZON AND THEY REFUNDED ME THE TOTAL PURCHASE PRICE WITH NO QUESTIONS ASKED. THANK YOU AMAZON CUSTOMER SERVICE THEY ARE THE BEST.

I own one if these, unfortunately it stopped working. I opened it up to see tf I could find the problem and I found a capacitor that melted.It is the only capacitor on the BOTTOM of the top board, it is a little yellow square thing, and it is the only one there. The numbers are tinny and because mine melted I can no longer read them.If someone would be kind enough to open their machine up and tell me what numbers are on that capacitor I would be very appreciative. I tried to get the numbers from the dealer however, they were unable to help and now that my welder is no longer under warranty it will cost me at least $200 to have them replace this $0.25 part. Therefore if someone could help me out that would be very cool.

I have owned my unit going into the thirteenth year now. I have used all of the features and they are awesome. Most of the use is on the plasma cutter. My only complaint would be that the ceramic tip is prone to breaking on the plasma torch, definitely purchase replacements if you’re going to buy this inverter.

I purchased this welder on Ebay a few years ago. It has worked flawlessly in my shop each and every day welding 20 gauge sheet metal to 3/8th's plate. The only times that it has failed to weld is when workers forgot to change the switch from Plasma back to Tig. Whenever this one dies - if it ever does - I would purchase another in a heartbeat. This welder also burns 6010 stick rods - that which most DC inverter welders will not do ! THINK ABOUT IT - all the skyscrapers and huge bridges in China are NOT welded together with imported Millers and Hobarts etc. Wake up guys these things are good !

First one I received was DOA. Got the replacement and so far is a great product for the money. The plasma cutter works great the dial for the arc welder is fairly sensitive but still works great. I haven't used the TIG welder yet but I have a project this weekend that I will be using the TIG for. Hopefully all goes well

This product is garbage! Nothing but problems from the start and the trouble shooting support never helped.The digital read out stopped right away so you cannot adjust settings. The TIG foot pedal fell apart on the first step.The whole thing was a big disappointment!
