HERDEZ Salsa Casera, Medium, 70 oz Jug – Authentic Mexican Homestyle Salsa for Tacos, Chips & Dips

Delicious, not a bunch of gunk added to it. Much larger sized than I can buy in the grocery and at this point, more inexpensive than making my own. It's chunky, but not too chunky, and not too watery either. I haven't thought about blending it, but now I am. I don't know on the shelf life. I go through it in just under a month. In my fridge it's been fine. It arrived during very hot Texas days. It's the best deal on authentic tasting salsa that doesn't have a bunch of chemicals or sugar added to it that I can find. I'm extremely happy and hope it stays this price. I prefer my salsa a bit hotter, but I just adjust it to taste on that.

Have been buying all of this company's products for several years. Wish they all came in bulk but I'll take what I can get.

This was shipped from an Amazon warehouse a little over an hour from me. It took 13 days to arrive. Was a bit worried after reading other reviews of open bottles (70 oz.), mold, etc. My order arrived in perfect condition, well packaged, full to the top. Some reviews complained about the salsa being too watery, but even before I opened the container there was tomato/onion pieces at the top! It was sealed very well under the cap and after removing that seal, put a few spoonsful on my omelet for dinner. Taste was excellent and I totally enjoyed the combination. Prior to this, I'd only bought the smaller jar at the grocery store to see if I liked the brand/flavor. Look forward to adding this to many meals and snacks.

I’ve been eating this brand of salsa for years, it’s my favorite by far. The quality is always consistent, and the large container size lasts for some time. The thickness and texture of the salsa is about medium I would say. The only reason I rated it with 4 stars is due to the length of time between order and receiving. I ordered my last batch in May and did not receive it until later in August. Otherwise I think it’s great!

Good experience

I go out of my way to aquire this brand of traditional red salsas. It's super fantastic delicious for a bottled salsas! If I don't make my own from scratch; this is my go-to! It's really the best thing next to fresh made.It's a great amount for the price and a perfect amount for a fiestas, or just to have around to snack on or top for homemade nachos!I've been in love with it for over a decade! I have been know to mix the hot and the mild for a great medium for those who have more "spicy sensitive palettes.” Or simply because I have both and get a bit freaky like that 😉

I gave star because this isn't the 70 oz's as it claims. It is only 40 oz's. I've been using Herdez for decades. I use to buy it in a small can. We use a lot of salsa here. I like Herdez but can't find a large size in the stores. Problem with Amazon, quite a few times it gets damaged before it gets here & I have to reorder & wait longer so I order early before we run out

This salsa is delish! It is flavorful and has the right amount of heat. I think it is the best salsa you can buy.
