I use large duffles for airplane travel. Until now, I have purchased the nylon ones and they rip consistently, particular with overseas travel so now, I'm onto this one. It weighs about 3-4 pounds empty and a nylon one weighs about 1lb. Thus this is will carry less, because airlines limit the weight to 50lb but I'm tired of them ripping during the trip. Prior reviewer said its too large for a plane... False, only if you pack it like the photo and it almost never is packed that full. In all these year, I only once had someone pull out a measuring tape and check me onto the plane. Not a concern.

This bag is heavy duty. I bought it to carry horse first aid items in the horse trailer. I expect it to withstands the demands of a horsey environmenet!

This bag is made very heavy duty. It is 34" X 16" X 15" and when you pack it, it's exactly that size. I was going to use it for our trip overseas but it's slightly too large. When you add the three number together, you get 65 and your allowed 62 so I have to order a different bag. I highly recommend this bag.
