is this a glass jar or plastic?

The Icelandic salt I received from Amazon in 2018 was in a glass container and packaged well enough to survive shipping. The salt purchased in Iceland in 2017 was also in a glass container. Hope this helps you out.

If you like one of the other flavors, please try this. If you're trying their salt for the first time, try the licorice salt. I put the licorice salt on everything. Fruit, salads, cottage cheese, put it on sweet things to give it that salty sweet flavor. It does not taste like licorice, I don't particularly care for black licorice, and I love this salt. it tastes like nothing I've had before. I put it in my husband's Valentine's basket 2025 because I usually get him black licorice and thought I'd spice it up a bit. Glad I did! Back for more and trying to decide which other one to add to my cart. I think the size is perfect, the jar design is cool, and handy to have on the counter.

Amazing flavor. Low heavy metals.

This is absolutely my favorite tasting salt, and tests show it is low on lead and other heavy metals, and I've heard that it still had a lot of minerals in it. It is difficult to find any salt that is low heavy metals while still having high mineral content. Himalayan and celtic tend to have pretty high amounts of lead.My only complaint is that it is spendy for what you get. I wish there was a bigger container you could buy for less money but there doesn't seem to be. I've checked their site.So unfortunately I've switched to a different low heavy metals salt but still would like to keep some of this stuff around.

Nice salt with great flavor
