Makita XT612M 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless 6-Pc. Combo Kit (4.0Ah)

Really like the Makita line. I had a makita drill back in the day before lithium ion batteries were a thing. But always used other brands but needed a new set and found this setfor a good price. It has been over 2 years now and everything works great still. Im an electrician and i use them about everyday esp the sawzall cutting conduit and the drill for drilling holes in panels and boxes. Im fully invested in makita know. I bought a makita weed eater and oscillating tool and more batteries. Not sure what the price is now as everything has skyrocketed under the current america hating government that was installed. Thats another subject but anyway. Great tools

This is one of the most complete cordless sets of quality tools. All the tools are brushless and very powerful using the included 18V 5.0aph batteries. The dual battery charger is also really convenient. You can use 1 battery while the other is charging. The tools feel very confident in your hands and the power is unreal. I've gone through the hammer-drill for masonry to mixing cement to cutting 2x4 studs and cutting wire ropes using the various tools quickly and easily.

This kit is a fantastic value. All brushless tools and 2 four amp batteries. This kit has the better storage bag as well. Has the retractable handle and wheels that allow you to roll it around vs carrying. I'm a professional contractor and I've been using makita products since 2010. They have an ever expanding line of tools. There's really nothing they dont have in their cordless line up. I am still using the 7 piece kit I bought in 2010. Most of those tools had brushes and every one of them are still working as they should. 1 of those batteries died after I dropped it from a ladder. The other one still working. Very rate, I know. I've bought several more batteries since 2010 whenever they're on sale. I added numerous other cordless makita tools to my bag. These are great tools at a great value.

I honestly can't say enough about this set. Other than the sub-par flashlight that I didn't want anyway, every other piece of this set is honestly just amazing! I'm remodeling a bathroom and my husband builds furniture. We have had this set for only a month or so, and it's already more than earned it's worth. Now we're hooked on Makita quality and functionality.

I love these. I use them constantly. It's great not being hindered by cables and the batteries last through the job. The bag it comes with is tough as nails and the tools are extremely rugged. I don't spend this much money lightly but these are worth every penny.

Awesome set!! Only wish there was a better way to organize them all but that's easily fixable by ordering some of the Makita plastic tool boxes. Awesome bag as well, just big and wide open. Very happy with these tools.Update: 2 Years LaterThe impact driver failed after about a year. It still works but the motor speeds change by themselves now, randomly.All of the other tools have held up well. The saw is the best saw ive ever used.

All the tools are of high quality and perform above my expectations. I've used all the tools and am amazed at the power and battery life. The circular saw is powerful and performs well. Minor nit is the blade guard needs to be manually retracted for some cuts in thin paneling due to the shape of the guard. The reciprocating saw is fabulous with kudos to the tool free blade change. The grinder outperforms my older Makita corded grinder. The drill/driver/hammer drill is excellent although the low speed is a bit fast for me. The driver works well but probably won't be used much given the handiness of the drill/driver. The flashlight works well, but could use a dimmer or lower light level for long term use (like in a power outage). All in all, a great deal. I'd give it five stars if the flashlight and driver were swapped with an oscillating saw. Highly recommended.

I priced out all the tools individually and there was a significant savings in buying the set. So far I've used all the tools (even the stupid flashlight which I actually grew to love) and I can tell you it's worth getting. If you find yourself in the position of needing a whole new set like I did, this is the way to go.
