These sensors don't require an Aquara zigbee hub. I have 6 sensors paired to Home Assistant via Sonoff USB dongle, working fine. These trigger HA automation to notify in the event of moisture, disconnect and battery low status. Bonus marks for the temperature sensor included for free.

Replacing the battery is straightforward as it uses a common coin cell battery. Despite these shortcomings, the Water Leak Sensor's core functionality is impressive. Its rapid detection time and reliable performance make it a valuable tool for protecting your home from water damage. However, potential buyers should be aware of the limitations and be prepared to invest in an Aqara hub and spend time setting up notifications.
