Really for indoor use, without smoking up your home!
Awesome! I bought a second one for smoking mammal meat for the hubby! It smokes just a bit at the beginning and then no smoke escaping. I cannot say enough good things about this smoker! It was a bit hard to understand how to start it at first, but duh, I should have turned the page...lol. I love that you don't have to change the pot and cook it in something else to finish. It will also keep it warm and let the juices settle in the meat. The size is great for a 6 pound chicken or a roast. I find it easy to clean and storing does not take up much room either. The seal on the lid shows a great quality in building it. I think it is a must have and I am looking forward to using it many times.

Indoor smoker that wont break the bank but will make great smoked food.
So I haven't written a review in a while, but this product was something I was on the fence about and I was so pleased with it I figured it was worth a review. A couple thoughts:-Is this as good as a 500$ indoor smoker? I honestly have no idea, i wouldn't spend 500$ on an indoor or outdoor smoker which is why i got this one. But is this an awesome 120$ smoker? absolutely yes-Use this under or over your stove hood and turn on the hood fan! otherwise you will low key smoke your whole house, if you really like hickory smell, sure that's great, otherwise the seals on this work fairly well, but smoke does escape but if you put this around a hood fan you'll be fine.-Minor complaint, the temp and timing functions are very basic, with a probe you cook to a temp, without a probe you cook to a time, its a bit confusing and the panel isn't intuitive, but once you kinda figure it out, you'll be ok.-It smokes really well! We've done salmon, cheese, poultry, and pork, all of its smokes great. we get the pellet sampler packs and have had great success-Its not super easy to clean since the heater element is just in the bottom. so make sure you put some foil in the bottom to catch drippings.-Again the seal on the lid isn't perfect, this isn't a fancy smoker that has some sort of air circulation system, the smoke will escape so see point 2 again.Overall really happy with this purchase. Was on the fence about it, but if you are also on the fence this is a really budget friendly way to get into smoking without going outside.

Do not touch heating element, charcoal, lid and ring when hot.
Better than expected! Worked so well we had to put ketchup on the first thing we smoked! Very well pleased. We simply need to figure out percentage of wood to use per pound and time. In fact, we want to buy the larger one when in stock we like this so well. Easy to clean. Going to see how it does baking bread without wood. We have made bread in a standard 6 qt crock in the past. Next will be hickory and/or mesquite.

Fit for purpose, fun to use, and a great value at the price break. - 4 out of 5 Stars.
This review is based on the decision to keep the Weston Brands 2-in-1 Indoor Electric Smoker & Programmable Slow Cooker rather than trying every indoor countertop smoker in its price range. The unit is fit for its purpose; it effectively smoked a 6-pound Boston butt for 6 hours and then slow-cooked it for 10 more, emulating an outdoor smoker to perfection. If you find yourself wanting a smoker but are restricted from having one outdoors, this is a useful tool. The unit is extremely light, which makes for ease of handling and storage, but it needs to be handled carefully to avoid damage. To prevent debris from accumulating under the smoke ring, I wrapped the base's exterior with aluminum foil. I also covered the smoke lid in aluminum foil.If the temperature probe is not inserted while the smoker function is on, smoke will bellow out of the hole. This opening needs to be plugged by the probe or something else to stop the smoke from leaking. The smoker does not allow for the use of the slow cooker vessel. Because of this, the lid does not get a good seal and a little smoke will leak. However, it is 99.9% less than the smoke from burning traditional incense sticks, so it is not a problem. I also used a little peanut oil around the ring to help with the seal. I feel this is a poor design, but it is not a showstopper. Also, the electrical cord is only 3 feet long and does not detach from the smoker. After its first use, I discovered that drippings will mingle with the chip debris and cannot be used for au jus. On the next cook, I am going to devise a way to keep the drippings contained. All in all, smoking meat has always been a labor of love. Although this device requires some minor engineering to get the desired result, it is far less intense than using a traditional smoker. From that standpoint, the Weston Brands 2-in-1 Indoor Electric Smoker & Programmable Slow Cooker is a real winner and fun to use.

Easy to use and excellent flavor
This device is excellent and a great alternative if you do how have the capacity to own a smoker or grill. The smoke barely escapes but does not leave your room smoky, just a pleasant aroma in the air if you like the smell of wood chips burning. The instruction manual is a bit lacking on how to cook specific foods, but with a little trial and error you'll get it sorted out. I highly recommend lining the bottom with tin foil along with the cap on top of the coil. Also, if you are not using it, put some tin foil on the bottom rack to help disperse the heat as the coil can form a hot spot and over cook food that is directly above it.Overall I am extremely happy with this purchase and have successfully made wings, jalapeno poppers, bacon, ribs (restaurant quality) and will be cooking a whole chicken tonight. Highly recommend!
