It does the trick without any headaches!
I was wondering if this would work and I also was worried about how long it would last but It works just fine and it has been durable and reliable for quite awhile so-far. I have no complaint whatsoever about this component,it works exactly as intended and advertised and at a reasonable price to boot.

Doesn't power the headlight of an E45
Tried to use this to replace a partially damaged display on our E45, and the unit worked for everything except the headlight -- it puts out ~4.7V and the headlight needs ~6V, so it was almost invisibly dim (totally unusable at night). Giving 5 stars because it otherwise works great, and the E45 was not listed as compatible.
