My 6 year old lab/great Pyrenees is a picky boy when it comes to his food. He has had skin sensitivities like itching,dry,dull coat plus getting diarrhea, gas and belly aches. Since we had switched to this food 5+ years ago it's been so much better! No accidents in the house, the uncomfortable belly aches and bloating are completely GONE! After doing some research basic brand dog foods swell up terrible almost double their size when they get mixed with liquid (just normal water)Diamond grain free DOESN'T! Each bite of this kibble is the size of a dime,being the color of chocolate with a natural protein smell. Not only is the look of this food different it's also not completely dried out like a cotton ball. You can tell it's made with exceptional ingredients to keep it job natural. We buy the 28 lb bag and it lasts us a month for our 110 lb Fella. Believe it or not this food helps our pup in tip top shape from healthy energy to keep up with the kids and grandkids as well as getting a good night's sleep. He isn't having to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night or having any gas. Diamond is an amazing family owned company who care about our pets, unlike the many others who are a dime a dozen trying to make a buck. We love our Handsome boy so we only feed him the best to keep him happy and healthy. Feel free to do your own research to compare the first five ingredients on the dog food you have to this one. I have a french bulldog who is severely allergic to rice, white potatoes, and many other filler ingredients found in nearly ALL dog foods. I have resorted to cooking his food from scratch (ground turkey, cauliflower, broccoli) with olive oil. He has been on that home-cooked food for three years now; his allergies have cleared up, and he is a much happier fur baby. However, I felt like he needed some crunch for his teeth. I found Diamond Naturals Grain Free Formula during the Amazon Prime Day Sale. My boy has a sensitive stomach, so I've been slowly adding a bit at a time and watching his poo for signs of distress. It's been a couple of weeks, and he is doing very well. No skin irritations or bowel irregularities. I would highly recommend it to anyone with a dog severely allergic to the fillers most often used in dog foods.As of August 3, 2022I'm pleased to report that my fur baby has fully transitioned to eating the Diamond Naturals grain-free formulation 100% in his feedings with zero - yep, zero skin or digestive irritations. It took nine years to get to this point. I'm soooooooo grateful.

Our Australian Shepherds really like this food. I typically purchase Taste of the Wild in a variety of flavors, for example Taste of the Wild Dry Dog Food, Pacific Stream Canine Formula with Smoked Salmon, 30-Pound Bag because they are also grain-free and the cost is reasonable. Grain-free dog food can cost up to $80 for a 28 lb bag at the pet store! I decided to try this Diamond kibble and I was pleased that our dogs had no problem switching. I now alternate this food with Taste of the Wild and Candidae's grain free CANIDAE Grain Free Pure Elements with Fresh Lamb for Dogs. We tried Merrick's Whole Earth Whole Earth Farms Grain Free Chicken and Turkey Recipe Dry Dog Food, 25-Pound but our dogs didn't like it. I ordered another of Merrick's flavors (Whole Earth Farms Pork, Beef & Lamb Recipe) though, as we have had great luck with that brand in the past. Adopted our rescue dog a year ago, and have had him on this food since. I was informed he was on this food at the humane group so I continued it to save digestive issues. I admit I had never heard of Diamond brand dog food, but asked my vet about it and she had only positive things to say about it.So after a year on this food our 90 lb, highly active rescue is doing great. He's full of energy (sometimes too much), stools are good and continues to love the food.

This is a good quality food. My dogs like the taste and they did well on it. I have 1 dog that has skin and allergy issues, and therefore I only buy grain free food. It helps keep her allergies in check. Both dogs benefit from this type of food and are always very regular. They have nice coats, and are in great health. Plus, they eat less of this than they would the cheaper brands with grains and fillers. It really does not save money to feed the bottom of the barrel brands. Health wise those brands probably cost you more.I have purchased several different brands and varieties of grain free food. My dogs like them all, so I tend to buy the type I can get for the best price when our current supply is low. This is not our favorite brand/variety, but my dog will be happy to eat it if offered. They have no GI issues when they eat this food, and they switch to it easily. If the price is right this is a great option, though there are other brands that are a bit better.

Such a great product and not as much junk ingredients like other products.
