Great as an anti inflammatory
I realize this is the hottest thing in the anti aging field. Something to do with cellular aging, etc. But in my case I find it works great as an anti inflammatory for my bone on bone knee. So much so that at 78 years old I have begun running again after an eleven year hiatus.

low dosage
Fisetin is a flavonoid found in some fruits and vegetables, particularly strawberries. It is a fat soluble antioxidant that (according to the Dr. Axe website) induces "potent senolytic activity that may work to prevent the replication of damaged DNA" (i.e., it help prevent the diseases that come with aging). This Longlifenutri contains 100 mg per serving (one capsule). By contrast, Vegatot Fisetin contains 300 mg per serving (one capsule). Revitalize Fisetin contains 250 mg per serving (one capsule). Peak Performance Fisetin only contains 100 mg per serving (one capsule), and Humanx Bio Fisetin contains contains 500 mg per serving (one capsule). So Longlifenutri and Performance offer the lowest amounts of the above brands.Furthermore, some of the above brands offer Fisetin as an extract. Vegatot's Fisetin is a 10:1 extract, so its 300 mg has the potency of 3,000 mg. Nothing on Longlifenutri's label indicates that it's an extract. 100 mg is all you get.Longlifenutri does offer a free plastic pill box with each bottle (see my photo).Longlifenutri has a faint, mild scent. A bit familiar, but I can't quite place it.Longlifenutri (and all of the above competing brands) comes in capsule form, rather than tablets. I like that. Tablets contain binders that can hinder absorption, so generally, capsules, softgels, and tinctures are better than tablets.

Cutting-Edge Supplement with Timeless Values
Longevity is the new buzzword these days, which shouldn't surprise anybody familiar with the Boomer life trajectory. While it's natural for all sentient beings facing the end of the journey to search for ways of prolonging it, never before in history has so much time and resources been dedicated to the effort to extend human life. There have been some exciting breakthroughs. But not until reviewing a book called The Great Age Reboot (I'm still working on that, Amazon) did I hear of an exciting antioxidant called fisetin. It sent me on an immediate quest.I already take quercetin, glutathione and reservatrol, so I felt pretty covered. But on my deep dive down the rabbit hole, I was introduced to a new vocabulary word that expanded my horizons and blew my mind."Senolytic" is a term I had never heard before, (though you're probably familiar if you're searching for fisetin). I have come to think of it as white blood cells for anti-aging. Senescence is the process of growing old, so you can see how it would apply. But the mind-bending aspect is the revelation (to me, anyway) that certain drugs are being tested that might actuality seek out and destroy our dying cells. Self-rejuvenation, literally.Kind of how white blood cells fight infection. Only the infection in this case is death itself. Now imagine if instead of a drug, there were a natural senolytic available in over-the-counter form. An otherwise ordinary antioxidant that just happens to possess these cutting-edge qualities. That's were fisetin enters the chat. The next goal then is finding a good source. I was thrilled to come upon this one. They're a small, American company that manufactures its supplements in the US. They use no binders, fillers or b.s, although some might quibble about magnesium stearate. But that's about the only thing.I really appreciate that the bottle contains 120 uniform capsules that are mid-sized yet easy to swallow. Some advocate taking this only for limited periods, so you might want to look into the best schedule for you.The research on this is all new and exciting. Its benefits seem to extend far beyond the senolytic aspects which are potentially great in themselves. You owe it to yourself to pursue this. And if you do, here is a great way to start.FYI the bonus pill case is small and lightweight. Not terribly useful but a nice touch, as with the 15% off card included. And sorry for the long intro but I'm sure I can't be the only one late to the party. Please do your own research and say hi to the White Rabbit for me.

HUGE pill
For 100 mg of Fisetin, this pill is WAY TOO BIG.On a monthly basis, I take 2500 mg of Fisetin for two days each. (Senolytic reasons) There's no chance in hell I can take 25 pills of this size.

Quality product, good value
Disclaimer: I am not a physician. I am merely passing along information that I've been able to glean from publicly available sources. Please consult with your doctor when considering what's right for your health.Fisetin is somewhat popular now as a potential longevity supplement, acting as a senolytic. It has also been found to reduce inflammation. I don't know if there's a comprehensive body of testing on it's effectiveness in humans, but it seems it does well in model organisms. I would prefer there to be more human testing, but in the field of longevity that's easier said than done.Pros:1. Possible lifespan/healthspan enhancer.2. Trusted brand. Good ratings in general (averages somewhere around 4.5 stars) for longlifenutri products on Amazon.3. Manufactured in a GMP facility.4. They also include a small pill case. I wouldn’t order this just for the case, but some may find it useful.Cons:1. I was looking for a larger dosage, but it seems 100mg is the current standard dosage. Not a problem for me as I can always just double the dosage.2. Nice of longlifenutri to declare this a ‘premium quality dietary supplement’ all on their own. Seems a bit presumptious.* I hope you found this review helpful
