Very pleasantly surprised
So, I probably bought this for a different reason than most people would have. I wanted to have a speaker that worked with my smart home to be used for announcements. For example, I can ask Alexa to give me a report of my security and my system will respond something like, "Both doors are locked. All security cameras are online. The system is currently armed. All exterior contact sensors are closed...", etc, etc. I have my system say all kinds of stuff. When a guest uses a guest code to enter the house it greets them. It lets me know if a door or window has been open for a certain amount of time, etc. I also use it to play a custom doorbell sound when someone knocks on my door (I have an acceleration sensor on my screen door). These are functions that are hard to get Alexa to do, but Smartthings can do. So, I set up a DLNA receiver and connected via 3.5 mm audio jack to this speaker.I went through a couple of other inexpensive speakers before I settled on this one. The others all had a buzzing sound when I left them plugged in, or just didn't have enough volume. This speaker, however, works great.I have tested it with my phone Bluetooth also. It plays music for several hours before it dies. It stays connected to my phone all over my home. When I am using it for my smart home speaker the battery lasts days. It also works fine plugged in (that is to say it doesn't hum or buzz like some 5V speakers will). I also like that it announces when the battery is low about 15 minutes before it dies. I only wish that it didn't announce it so often. But since I leave it plugged in, it's not really an issue. The volume is more than adequate. It's a compact inexpensive speaker, so if you're expecting it to rock your house you will be disappointed. But for an easily portable Bluetooth speaker the volume is as good as, if not better than other similarly priced speakers this size. It is certainly loud enough to hear the doorbell function or system reports throughout my 2 bedroom apartment. When using Bluetooth, the volume is controlled by your phone. There is no physical volume button on the speaker. The sound quality is surprising for the price. Not a lot of bass, but no one is really expecting that from such a small and inexpensive Bluetooth speaker. I was going to add a picture but there isn't really any point because it looks exactly like the photo on the product page.Bottom line. In this price range, it is one of the best Bluetooth speakers I have bought.

Great Bluetooth Speaker for the Price!
UPS Shipment was late and I was very eager to use this tonight. For the price, it is an awesome Bluetooth speaker. I have a Bose mini II and that sounds pretty awesome. It doesn't compare with the Bose, but for the price, it's not bad. It’s decently loud with minimal dostortion at max volume. Bass is not as deep but it’s loud. This will be used for the garage. I don't mind experimenting with a BT speaker that costs $9.90.Pros:Bluetooth connected with minor issues (doesn’t connect at times)Phone controls volume as you normally canComes with USB cable and male to male 3.5MM jack for connecting directly to the sourceBuild quality seems sturdy (doesn't come close to the awesome weight of the Bose)$9.90, what can you complain about when it seems to work?Highs are clear, mid bass is minimal and lows are also minimal. Not Bose quality but it sounds fairly decent.Stylish grill with no imperfections that I could find with QC.Looks extremely similar to the Bose Mini IIOutter finish feels similar to the Mophie phone batteries & cases but not as stickyIt has FM reception, but i have yet to test this out - not sure if this is a feature I'd be usingCons:Update: Short Bluetooth distance. I could lose connection in about 3-4 feet when phone is out of sight and is intermediate.Once you switch the speaker off, the device does not connect automatically to the phone when switching it back on. It will require the speaker to be switched off again and turned on to force a reconnect. Minor issue that can get annoying.Voice confirmation of "now connect to the bluetooth" is extremely loud. once you connect, the voice prompt should not come back. Melodic + “BLUETOOTH MODE!” Is what is says at startup.Finish causes a ton of fingerprintsVolume (or skip) button is finicky. i had lowered the volume with the "go back" button, and the sound just disappears for a few minutes. I couldn't figure out what had happened even with increasing volume - no noise. Sound eventually came back after power cycle.Blinking Blue LED could be annoying, but it's not that bad, during operation. Blinking red LED also appears when connected to a power source (USB battery)Loud click buttons - I hope the buttons don't get stuck one day and stay down.Plastic shell, but what do you expect, magnesium?Has FM functionality but I have yet to find a station it can pick up. Without a dial, it’s rather difficult to tune to a station.Overall:For the price, it is a great low budget speaker. I haven't used this for talking on the speakerphone yet and probably won't need to since it's for garage duties. 4 stars for the speaker build quality, decent low volume sound and generally performs decent. I hope they will improve some of the quirks but I would definitely buy again for other rooms. Let’s see how long it will last!

Sounds real nice, decent bass, and great mid/highs. Decent build quality and lots of extra play options like microsd.
So I was surprised at just how much sound this little speaker has.Build:Hard plastic body with matte paint on it so it does not blind you in the sunlight. All buttons are hard plastic instead of that softer rubbery stuff, which I think I prefer. The bottom has stick on foot mats that keep it from slipping decently.Sound:Actually pretty surprised at the sound. Very clean lows mids and highs, with nothing standing out as brilliant. For the size, this puts out some pretty decent little bass, but it's the mids and highs that really carry it. Still sounds great at high volume as well.Options:I liked the inclusion of the USB port for charging and the microsd card, which it can play mp3s straight off. Aux port is pretty standard, and welcome. The only think I dislike is the power switch... it's ugly, looks silly, and might break quicker than a normal on/off button.Over all this speaker is pretty darn decent. The metal mesh grill has small holes to protect the speakers, but not too small to block sound. The whole speaker looks nice and is quite small for the sound produced.

Sounds great, will do for what I need it for.
The design is clean and looks great. Looks good sitting on my counter top. I use it exclusively for Sports Talk Radio in the morning and the audio is solid.Very easy to get setup and pair to your phone. Out of the box it took like maybe 2 minutes. My only complaint is that the device does not even try to hold a charge. I have to keep it constantly plugged in to a power source. Which is not a issue for me as I keep it in the bathroom plugged in solely. But the speaker is loud enough it would be nice to take out in the back yard sometime without having to worry about getting power to it by cable. OHhh, well. Can't beat that price.
