Bought as a 40th birthday present for a good friend and they were totally bowled over! Not completed yet, but I’m looking forward to seeing the finished result.

My husband was thrilled with this. It took quite a while to build but he kept comments my on how cleverly the parts had been constructed and engineered to fit together. It was a great gift!

Enjoyable to make

Got this as a present for my mother and she enjoyed building it. It looks great on the shelf and is faithful to the Harry Potter design although she had some difficulties with the metal strip and getting it to fit. Can appreciate the care and skill gone into creating this, though.

Some parts a bit tricky to get in place, other than that easy to build

Had to contact Ugears as instructions were not clear enough for me. They answered and rectified my issues very promptly

My husband enjoyed building this and it looks great. However, it does not move when wound up as the gears are catching. He is going to persevere as he is quite clever with this sort of thing, but it would have been annoying if it was a gift for a child who might not be able to rectify it. He still has a carriage to build.

Spring was difficult to fit

This three car train was fun to build. I decided to color it BEFORE it was put together. I used spray paint, oil paint pens, colored pencils and a few times, gel pens. Takes a lot of time to decide what to paint. I always protected the engine gears, drive rods and wheel bearings from paint so they would move freely.As reported in other reviews, the coil spring instructions are NOT clear. I finally figured out the the entire spring was supposed to be INSIDE the wood pins of the spring assembly so the spring can completely wind up tight.Getting the engine gears and the drive rods at the wheels to all work together was hard. I used the wax and then some dry lubricate (which is wet until the lubricante itself dries). Kept testing the mechanical parts as I was building.On the floor, the engine goes about 14 to 15 feet by itself. The whole train goes about 10 to 12 feet. It is true that on a smooth floor the engine wheels slip for moment before the train moves.

Da musste ich sofort beginnen. Und hatte das Produkt unterschätzt. Kein Kinderspiel. Fordert viel Aufmerksamkeit und Geschicklichkeit. Und ein gutes Werkzeug. Und Phantasie - man muss diese tolle Lok entstehen sehen, obwohl noch viel zu gestalten ist. Und mansche Überraschung entsteht. Nur - wo stellen wir dieses Konstrukt hin, damit "Wirkung" entsteht?Ich werde auf jeden Fall weiterbauen.

Agréable passe temps, très décoratif.Pièces qui s'emboitent facilement, mais parfois, faut vraiment appuyer fort.Attention de bien positionner le ressort qui fait office de moteur.

Is goed te doen. Onderdelen gaan niet snel kapot. Zit een zeer goede beschrijving bij. Wel veel kracht in de vingers nodig maar dan heb je ook iets moois.
