works well for the price. reliable product and has worked super well, I have used it on my camera to hold my monitor and it works supper well, It works on all cameras I have tried and is universal, the adjustable head is supper nice for people that want to mount things to their camera, i think this is a great product, It is stable from my experience and sometimes will slip if it is not tight enough

am happy with my camera mount since it is compatible with all my work cameras. Its material is resistant, its plastics and metals are of very good quality, easy to mount and use on the camera.

I love SmallRig for making so much fantastic gear at reasonable prices (plus, after them reaching out to me, I love them even more for their top-notch customer service!), though this item needs one simple fix - on the cold shoe end, you can only make it secure by tightening the whole unit all the way down, which turns the plastic tightening ring into nothing more than a washer. If you don't tighten it all the way down, either it won't be snug in the cold shoe, or the whole unit will spin freely.Instead, make the cold shoe insert screw longer and add TWO of those tightening rings. Then you can tighten the unit to the cold shoe, and tighten the unit, enabling you to easily position the unit in whichever direction you wish.In my case, I was able to crank it down a little extra tight in order to get the 90-degree bend where I wanted, but I wonder if I'll sometimes have to remove the cold shoe insert and rotate it 90 or 180 degrees in order to make that happen.Also, if you don't use the cold shoe attachment and simply screw the main assembly to your cage (or whatever), then my whole point becomes completely unimportant and irrelevant.

Great little ball head mounts. I use them for my Laser Rangefinders on a tax table and a tripod plate. They are the perfect size!!!

If you're using this to put on top of a flat surface like the top of a tripod the thumb screw head knob thingy gets about 98% tight and then stops just shy of 100% tight because it hits the top of the flat part of the tripod.I was able to work my way around it by putting a washer down - not that big of a dealI also wish that the female 1/4 in bottom entry was securely in place before tightening down the thumb screw. I just think it's annoyingPersonally - I'm using this for mounting a projector on top of a tripod - so I guess it's not really intended for that but it's pretty much the only issues I have foundOther than that this thing is great. It's super tiny and really well made, it can hold my 2 lb tripod Rock solid at a 45° angle no problemEverything is made from metal and the quality feels very nice. I think getting two of them for this price is a good deal.It was difficult for me to find the exact weight but with the shoe attached on my scale it weighs 63 gHope this helps you
