Not bad ,smells ok , tastes ok ,mixes well , energy level not great , will probably go back to my old one.

Although maca is a root that belongs to the radish family it is actually quite sweet, and I found the flavour of this brand to be very pleasant which made it much easier to take - it's a sort of malty flavour. I bought it because it is said to help to balance hormones and to therefore be particularly helpful for menopausal and post menopausal women. It also contains lots of vitamins and minerals and is also said to have some ginseng-like qualities in that it gives you an energy boost. Anyway, one thing is for sure, it has been consumed for many centuries in Peru, the main place of cultivation. I mainly add it to smoothies. I make what I call a 'power smoothie' with banana, maca, cacao powder, ground flax seeds, coconut oil, ground sesame seeds, organic yogurt and whatever else I may feel inspired to add! One thing you should know is not to heat it up otherwise it will lose it's beneficial effects.I recommend this particular product because it represents very good value for money, it tastes good, it's well packaged and it's certified organic. I also found the shelf life to be very good. You can't go wrong really.

This is interesting, I'm just in the peri-menopausal stage and I was starting to get hot flushes - I thought at first it was happening when I was wearing a fleece. Anyway, I was definitely beginning to get them and then I was in a health food shop and began chatting to this girl at the Maca powder shelf who happened to be a herbalist and she recommended it - I came and bought at Amazon and started putting it in my cereal. However, the taste is not good - yuksville. I started making smoothies and added a large spoonful to them - great! I couldn't taste it at all and got into the habit. After a few weeks I realised that gradually my hot flush symptoms were reducing and after a little while further, I hadn't got them at all. I stopped taking it and in fact I've not had any symptoms since. I appreciate that this might not happen for everyone but it is worth a try if you're suffering. I think it also gives you energy (but that might be the effect of drinking a fruit/veg smoothie every morning). This make seems to be good enough quality.

It seems to be beneficial as it states but I stopped using it the taste is awful, I used to mix it with milk and swallow it quickly.

I’ve been adding this maca powder to my warm milk oats every morning, and I can really feel the extra energy and focus. The taste is pleasant, and it mixes well. Very happy with the quality

I have taken 2tsps of this Maca powder (every day) for 3 weeks now and feel amazing. Having gone through the Menopause and still suffering from mood swings, night sweats and a total lack of sleep, I started looking for a natural product to help me. My research led me to this wonderful Maca powder, and I can honestly say that it has made such a difference. I am now sleeping for 8 hours every night, the night sweats no longer wake me, and I definitely have more energy!!! My mood swings have levelled out and I have not felt this good for a very long time.The taste of the product does take a little getting used to, 🙂 I take mine with meusli, yogurt and fruit and it is fine.Thank you Sevenhills for such a truly fantastic product. 👏

Bought to help balance hormones. Tried it today for the first time mixed into coffee, and it tastes absolutely vile. don't know if I'll be able to get used to it but I'll soldier on for a bit and see. It tastes like old stale vegetables that have rotted. Will try it mixed with various foods/liquids until I find something that makes it palatable.Update - day 2. Tried it today stirred into half a glass of milk and what a difference - tasteless in the milk so much more palatable. You'll need to mix it in like you mix flour into milk instead of the way i did by dumping a teaspoonful into the glass with milk already in it - I had to spend ages getting the lumps out!!
