Asus DVD-RW Bulk Drive (DRW-24F1ST, S-ATA, DVDR: 24x, CD-R: 48x, E-Green, Disc Encryption II)

I can't fault this product, easy installation and works like a dream, great value for money, the one I bought came exceptionally well wrapped and delivered on time, buy with confidence, installed on a pc running w7.

The CD/DVD player needed to be robust because of amazon's packing or more to the point lack of. Wrapped in a layer of thin bubble wrap the placed in a paper bag.The dive is quiet and works well no thanks to Amazon warehouse operation.

Not expensive, works fine. Somewhat noisy at full speed. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive DVD writer/reader.

Great Drive. Bought it just to install all the drivers for my new PC, did the job just fine. The sound was fine, infact it sounded quite smooth, then when it started installing from the CD the noise to pick up quite a bit... But seen as though you don't have it running the whole time, it's not a problem. I received more than expected, was expecting just an OEM disk drive in a cardboard box, but got a fully retailed box with hardware installation CD and manual. Mount screw were also included but didn't require them in my case; not a bad looking drive either, i have quite a high end gorgeous case and didn't want to spoil it by an awful disc drive but it looks quite nice in my case...I don't understand why the picture shows full black, when even the Asus website specification shows silver... Not a problem, but slightly misleading for some people...

Great value and has been able to read most of my battered CDs,Really quiet.

I am a firm believer in always having an optical drive as part of my set up. Flash drives are good but tend to be prone to failure from time to time. Which is really annoying. Especially when you have paid silly money for them. I have never had an Optical drive fail on me. May be a bad disc but not the drive. This drive is excellent and of course it's Asus. I have always used Asus for graphics cards and many other things they produce. All quality products. They say the day of Optical drives is coming to an end. I don't think so. There is always a use for them. Would buy again.

I bought this a long time ago after my pc upgrade from windows7 to win10 refused to acknowledge existing internal dvd drives which has something to do with "legacy"This drive works without any issues.

I mainly use my DVD/CD drive to rip CDs into FLAC files on a PC and my old drive started misreading discs.I bought this internal drive at the same time as an Asus Zen USB external drive. All I can say is the Zen drive will accurately read discs that this one will not and so for me that is the main drive I will now use for my music files.
